What new firearm would you like to see made?

The BDM. Bought it in '91 IIRC. It's one that every time I carry it I wonder yet again why it never caught on with any police or military?

Are CZs made in the US now?
I don’t know. I heard they had bought Colt, had set up CZ-USA as an American company at least as an importer, so thought they might have started manufacturing too.

It’s good to know they fit in 1911 holsters! Even if limited to leather, that selection is a whole lot better than I had thought was available.

Actually it is riding right now in one of my kydex 1911 holsters. Even snaps in place. It's too long for my kydex Commander holsters. I was thinking about selling it since I hadn't used it in maybe a decade but when I was cleaning it up I decided I simply had to make sure everything worked before offering it for sale.

Big mistake. That sucker is still more comfortable and more controllable than any of the HP clones I still have.

I believe CZ is making the Dan Wesson brand products here but unsure about any others.

Speaking of surprising fits in my kydex holster, my old S&W 469 (wish they still made that too) is a perfect fit in my Shield 2.0 45 kydex holster. That's less of a surprise since the S&W pistol M&Ps and Shields are almost identical frames and slides to the original S&W 9mms, the 39/59 series.

I'd like to see a pump rifle in 32-20 returned, or .327 Fed. mag., or .357 mag (as in the Israeli Timberwolf).

I'd like to see the pump in the 1895 Winchester config, such that one could hold the trigger and pump numerous rounds out of it. OR, aim and fire and it be accurate.

It would be a wondrous "handy rifle", truck rifle (there on the rifle rack behind the driver), home defense rifle, ... whatever. Eastern whitetail deer do not require any 30-06 to bring them down, for heaven's sake. Tree stand + .357 mag + neck shot = meat in the freezer / meat on the supper table.

Handy = dandy.
.

Single shot 22 rifles with scope mounts, I hate loading tubes and mags.

3 inch 45 acp, 44 mag, 45 lc Smith and wesson revolvers

"Pretty" is in the eye of the beholder, of course....I'll take function over form every time.
I used that criteria to pick my first wife. Unfortunately she ceased to function properly after a couple decades so I had to put her on Gunbroker (or whatever the human equivalent is.) Joking, I'm only joking.....o_O. She didn't make it the full 2 decades. :what:

CZ bought Dan Wesson many years ago, they are still made in New York.

Cz bought colt a few years ago. The only USA made guns that am aware of is the P10 line, which is the poly frame striker gun.

An AR upper in .50ae. I know someone made them in limited quantity over a decade ago but they were never made in mass quantity?

I would settle for a pcc in .50ae, made by Ruger.

I forgot...I used to want a single-stack Glock 10mm, with an extended (6"?) barrel. After the Glock 36, I would have thought a full-size, single stack .45 & 10mm was coming next. <shrug>

I would like to see Walther up the quality and execution of the CCP pistol in 380acp and instead of useing re-enforced Aluminum slides use Titanium. Even make it a double stack 380acp and a true DAO trigger. The design has serious potenial but Walther is really dropping the ball on the CCP. The gas system allows you to go lighter on the slide weight and the recoil impulse is very soft as is the force to rack the slide. The ergos are fantastic. Nice smooth trigger etc.

Make that an ultralight 10-12 round soft shooting 380acp DAO with cleaner tooling and it would be a fantastic carry pistol for a 380.

As for something that isnt really being done... A mini ultralight DA revolver in 32acp or even 25acp would be nice. Something around the size of the old RG revolvers. Something similar in size to a Browning Baby with a polymer or Titanium Frame would also be amazing.

At this point though I am just glad the original Automags are back in production and better yet the quirks have been finally ironed out. Be nice if they were offered in other calibers but the resurgence of the original Sanford Automag is the most exciting news for me in the last 30 years or so. Even 44AMP ammo is available again.

Another dream pistol for me would be a 7.62x25 (Tokarev) pistol with a fixed 6" or more barrel that ran off a gas system (HKp7, Steyr GB, Walther CCP etc. etc.). Fixed barrel would allow you to mount an actual pistol scope off the frame for superior accuracy. The 7.62x25 is soft shooting with fantastic range. Give it great ergos and a trigger similar in feel to a 1911 and you would have a truely fantastic long range semi auto pistol with Ammunition that is pretty common and inexpensive.

No new guns in the sense of an action or caliber or arrangement heretofore unknown.
I would appreciate a couple old guns brought back to life, perhaps upgraded in metallurgy or simplification of design/manufacture.
A decent actual version of the S&W .38 Hand Ejector (able to employ '+p' pressures). The Ruger 'Security' series revolvers.
Mannlicher-Schonaer rifles in appropriate hunting calibers.

And of course, shooters who would appreciate them.

Remington. 700 VLS .204 and Tikka T3X Super Varmint .204. and Sako 85 VARMINT .204 and Bergara .204 in any configuration. There used to be lots of really great .204s out there ,but they quit making them before I got around to buying one:(

My choices would be between a Remington M95 pattern derringer, scale of the original, chambered in modern metals, in .357 and smaller diameter cartridges.

My next choice would be a CZ-45 pattern automatic, chambered in .380 Auto

I am not very good with these thought exercises . I look at what is made and decide if I want it or not. But will give it a shot.

Not "new" but revisited concept. Ruger put the 10/22 Magnum back into production.

More Walthers with paddle releases. I like the PDP but prefer the paddles of the M1 PPQs.
