mine is this Ruger American Ranch in 6.5 Grendel , it is absolutely my jack of all trades and my ideal of a modern day scout rifle, with ammo in common weights of 90 -130 grains it will do everything from small to heavy medium game animals, a 150 yard zero give a very tight point and shoot window from 25 to 300 yards, full 10 round mag, scope and rifle comes in right around 7 lbs so it's not cumbersome to carry around in my hand or slung on my shoulder, being a bolt action it helps me to not burn through mags of ammo playing like I am prone to do if carrying one of my ARs,.
All in all out of the 10 rifles in my safe this little Ruger is my favorite.

My jack of all trades master none guns are savage 24's, generally a .22lr over 20, I keep my best regulated one on the mule, with bird and slugs on the stock, there's not a lot to be done there that it hasn't taken care of. Even have an insert I machined from the drop off an SBR project that allows it to shoot 357 mag as well.

never said anything about it being an only rifle, just your personal favorite do it all rifle

Yeah, if we count going back and getting more stuff, I'm not sure that is versatility.

I carry a leatherman because it is the most versatile tool I have, not that its best for any job, I rarely use it if I am standing near a tool box with more and better tools to swap with.

If we count swapping, a contender can be lots of things.

If we just want rifle calibers a Blaser R8 can be lots of stuff.

I really don't like the term do it all rifle. Only because of small game!
I hunt medium size game so my 7rm is great for that. I don't squirrel hunt anymore and coyote hunting is more about controlling the population and not pelts, 7rm works for them also.
 
I sold off my 6.5 Grendel Ruger American, and I miss it as a do all rifle. I have a 20" ar in the Grendel as my basic utility rifle, or I can grab my cz527 carbine in 7.62x39 and a little mag pouch for the belt that carries two more mags and be set. Both will adequately work on 99% of the game animals or predators I may run into when not dedicated to hunting. I usually have a handgun on me as well, and the caliber increases the farther from civilization I get. But a nice, light, handy medium caliber carbine is about perfect for knock about or camp duty. My next rifle will probably be a levergun for the same type of job. I love utility rifles...
 
Tikka T3 in 7-08. Lately I have been able to deer hunt and some bird hunting with a 20231104_155006.jpg 12 Guage.
 
I'd have to say my 7x57 Mauser. Light at 7 lb with a 2-7x38 scope and five rounds in the magazine, sling. It's on its way back here as I type. It's a perfect mountain/open country rifle/cartridge rig. Pictures when its here.
 
My model 25 Remington pump in 25-20. Holds ten rounds, lightning fast, accurate enough for the critters and pests I have around my place. I don't hunt, so power against larger animals is not a problem.
 
When I think of "do it all" I think defense, medium game hunting, and a rifle that you'd throw in a tractor, saddle bag, 4 wheeler rack, truck rack, etc and at realistic ranges for such that to me is 200 yard max. For me that means an AR-15 in 300 Hamr. 110gr Varmint bullets for smaller game like coyotes and groundhogs, and defense, 125 SP or 130gr FNSP for a 30-30 for medium game.
