I'm currently working for Chubb security as a casual security guard, which pays the bills. I also recently completed basic training for the Army reserve. I'm seriously thinking of going regular army after doing my IET (inital employment training).
Edit: that's the Australian army guys. Thanks Phantom Warrior.

Vice Pres/Director at a Financial Service company.

Also: Entrepreneur/investor on the side (wish more so to be fully solo from corp job). Part time road racing driver, one ride shop sponsored and one ride my own (wishes full time) and pro-gun advocate (wishes to be paid to shoot firearms).

I got my BS in chem in 2003. Now I'm a chemist at a small pharma. Having decided tha this career is the sux0rz, I'm going back to school for an MBA this fall. I'd like to consult in the Energy, Car, or motorcycle sectors.

I don't own a car, but I own two bikes, a GS500 and a silver 2003 SV650S.

I have a high stress, low paying desk job that I got involuntarily transferred to after I was hired to do something completely different. Yes, I'm currently seeking employment elsewhere.

You'll never catch me owning a Ford - our department has had problems with every one of the ones we have, and every one I've driven outside of work has had electrical problems except my mother's Mazda.

I work as a Medical Technologist for a large regional hospital. Been doing that for about a year. Before that, school school school. As to the buy american thing, I do. I drive an 02 F150, great truck.

Sheetmetal Fabrication. I dont like the company very much, but it pays well and since I make a lot of my own stuff for my cars, it comes in handy.

real estate sales

i actually have no "real" job, just list and sell property in a booming (yes, still) market here on the north carolina coast!

It's actually difficult to keep the pace on the golf course and talk to clients at the same time! The stress is horrible and my game is suffering!

I love the clients' reactions to gunfire in the background when they catch me at the range! "What was that??!! Are you OK??" After I explain where I am, so many are curious and want to try it.

So many Yankees experiencing new leisure, so little time! "Let's go golfing! Let's go to the firing range! Let's go fishing! Let's go crabbing! Let's sky-dive again! You up for a ride? (motorcycling)!" It's almost like watching kids at Disney!
Somebody here has to show them how to live! Now, if I could just get them to drop the "g"! (let's go golfin'! let's go fishin'! let's go ridin'!, etc.)

Also, gotta get'm used ta havin' my girl (retriever) claimin' her spot on the bow!

job yes....career, maybe someday?

currently...

6+ yrs...engineer at large for a family owned industrial packaging company (Boring!).

once upon a time...

8+ yrs as a nuclear propulsion plant engineer and submarine officer.

1+ yrs "sabatical" in between....clearing wooded lot & building a timber frame house (now this was fun).

Hope to start my own company some day.

PS....99 Ford Ranger....bought new for <$11K....currently have 120,000 miles on it....no problems.

Will Consumer Reports (and every body else) please stop comparing American brand name vehicles costing <$20K to Jap. brands costing >$35K. Somebody has got to make vehicles for the rest of us.

A1 Live Sound Engineer + event crew chief in MD.
Also do various off-season jobs with my own PA system around town.

I've never found another job I can do 80 hours a week, still be excited about getting up and doing it in the morning, and have fun on the job.. (as long as there is no team drama involved) without putting my neck on the line.

It's damn hard to find good co-workers though, as you can't teach someone to hear fine nuances if their hearing is shot already -- which is prevalent in those who are motivated to do the job, as they have likely been exposed to damaging levels before. Hearing damage is cumulative and doesn't fix itself.

A good background in electrical theory and physics is essential, too.

Tech support for software company. Good job, good pay, most people there are a decent group to work with.
There are several spankable women here, but I have stopped short of getting involved with anyone at work again. Last 3 jobs that happened at was disasterious. So I say since I have a breast fettish I should get hazzardous duty pay.

Currently a courier/messenger for a law firm. The pay is not bad but I am looking for something more long term. Also, I plan to get my real estate liscense this summer.

Systems Engineer for GE Aircraft Engines.

2005 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4, 2005 Ford Ranger Super Cab and a 2001 Chevy Blazer Extreme.

retired military and collector of old age pension. work/job/, hardly. i have the whole third bedroom as my reloading and gun room, a ten yard range behind the house and a fifty yard range on the side. why could i possibly want a job when all my "spare" time can be spent pursuing my near lifetime hobby. i can blast away at one yard or get real picky at fifty yards

you young buckaroos should live so long.

I fix cars, it's greasey but I find good products for cleaning and lubracating my SKS and it pays the bills, a double bonus!!!!

Web project manager

I came up through the ranks from programmer, to DBA, then project manager, consultant and now web applications manager. Currently working for Intel Corp. Finally put the kids through college so have a little more jingle in the pocket. :)

Trucker. It pays well, especially when OT kicks in around 10:00 am on Thursday and we work halfway through Saturday. Two-week checks of $1500 are not uncommon. I'm single, no kids, no wife, no dependents of any kind, no credit card debt, no car loans, no school loans, a nice portfolio and money in the bank. It's good to be ugly, fat and bald.

full time college student.

i shoot through workstudy jobs, bouncing, and some other random jobs like internships and hired hand work.

going waaaaaay back to page one where ford said buy american, we only buy american cars, we even make people who drive foreign cars park on the road instead of in our driveway:neener: its more in jest, but we do our best to support american workers, aka ourselves :)

I didn't know we were supposed to post what we drive. We have...
1990 Ford E-150 (for my work)
1999 Ford F-350 (for my work)
2001 Ford Ranger XLT (my main vehicle)
2006 Ford Focus ZX5 (my partner's main vehicle)

I own my own courier business. The hours are long and other drivers are crazy, but the money is amazing.:D

Accountant

Have been a self-employed accountant for 16 years. Sometimes boring, many times very enjoyable.

To all the active/retired military, law enforcement, paramedics, and firefighters : THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

To the teachers and professors: God Bless you for teaching our future.

Forgot to mention _ 2003 Subaru Outback. Great, all wheel drive car with 28 mpg.
2000 Chrysler Sebring convertable. You don't want to know about the transmission - the third one.
1998 Mercury Sable - worst POS of the bunch.
2005 Yamaha FJR1300 sport-tourer. 144 HP and 99 lb-ft of torque. Didn't want one of the foreign Harley-Davidsons. Let's see: H-D - Nissan (Japanese) brakes, Showa (Honda) suspension front and rear, wheels cast in Australia, wiring harness SE Asia, Keihin fuel injection (Japan), or Mikuni (Japan) carburators, Japanese dials and indicators, most of steel for frame from Japan, sticker that says 'Assembled in America.'
1998 Honda Nighthawk 750, made in Maryville, OH.
