It depends on whether we're talking about a specific variant (custom or stock) of a given model, or that model's lines.
First place (general model) would have to go to either the venerable Colt Woodsman Target (early product/first series):
Or a CZ-75 (non-B):
However, I'd say the most attractive handguns I've seen was a stainless CZ-75 with a chrome finish and lightly colored wood grips (not sure which variety of wood) and a gentle, contoured checkering on the wood.
1. Auto Mag (especially the "Dirty Harry" version, with those wood grips and long vent-ribbed barrel. Makes the Deagle look like... well, a Deagle...)
2. Luger, especially the artillery version
3. BHP
4. 1911 (especially Colt post-war commercials)
5. Walther PP/PPK
6. Walther P38
7. Sig P210
8. CZ75
9. (tie) S&W M39 and M645 (with wood grips instead of plastic)
Basically... if it's a nice shiny blue or a tasteful matte nickel or stainless, with wood grips, chances are I'll like it....
Thanks sm. I've included a right side view, and another left side since a lot of the posters mention this pistol. The Browning High Power, the most recognizable (or 2nd to the 1911 ?) and most widely distributed military pistol in the WORLD in it's day.
I like the way an old T Series BHP looks. I only have one with the origonal grips and that old blueing. It is my favorite. Wags, that is a nice BHP!!! Exactly what I am Talking About!!!
I really like my BHP's, very classic outline, and stylish in the Practical model, this one is my carry gun:
For something more contemporary, the Witness Elite Match by Tanfoglio, matte and high polish blue, and matte and high polish chrome:
And for an all out "Barbeque Gun":
I really have started liking the looks of the CZ, the Art Deco design of the engraving is really quite nice, still not a fan of the grips on it though.
