The 1903 is nowhere near roughly the size of a P3AT. It's a lot bigger.

The .45 ACP 1903 referanced in the OP was built by Cylinder & Slides Bill Laughridge.

It was built on a flull size 1911 frame, with added parts silver soldered on to cover the hammer & make it look like a 1903.

You could make roughly 6 or 8 P3AT's out of it!
Or maybe 1 1/2 1903's!

Its a bit unwieldy, since it was intended to be towed by horses like cannon of that era, but it'd be a blast to drag that up to the range.

Some of the stuff listed is available from Italian makers; S&W No 3, Springfield and Enfield rifle muskets, Sharps, Remington, Henry, and Winchester rifles. Prices are high, the Euro is $1.46 and the guns not of particularly simple manufacture.

There are some US made period guns, I don't know of a new Martini, but there is an outfit doing Peabodys. Even more non cheap. There is even a current maker of Gatling guns, including an early one firing from chargers instead of cartridges. Legally equivalent to a muzzleloader, have it shipped to your door.

I recall that Laughridge said you could have one of those hammerless pocket model .45s for about $8000.

There are a lot of Bubbafied well made military rifles and pistols. Plow in enough money and you could restore one for a shooter without making a collector kill a kitten.

You can have your fun but you will have to pay for it.

Bobarino, Mossberg is making the Winchester .30-30. IIRC it's a Model 464. I isn't a precise copy of the Win. 94 but it is pretty close.

I just think they are great looking, and very neat in design. Sadly, real ones seem to be pretty hard to find, and are a bit pricey.If someone could make faithfull, good quality replicas for under $1000, I'd buy one, since odds are slime I'll aver have the $5000 minimum for a real one.

Yep, but they are still made by a few smiths. You just need a very thick wallet ($30k-60k or more). Here's some pics of one from a machinegun shoot I was at last year.
