Not quite feeling content voting, I decided to up the antee and bought a gun on election day.

I am now the proud owner of a SIG P220SAO with night sights. I had wanted a Springfield MC Operator, but with my budget and recent unexpected expenses, this just wasn't feasible. The SIG was $500 less, and as soon as I held it, I knew it was coming home with me. I haven't shot it yet, but it feels solid and everything is silky smooth. So far, no buyer's remorse at all, just an itchy trigger finger.

Hearing reports of booming gun sales in the days immediately following, I couldn't help but reflect that maybe once, I was the trend setter.

Anybody else make their voices heard on election day in more ways that one?

I picked up a Mac-10. Solid fun pistol which is one of the ones that takes sten magazines. You cannot go wrong when you can get 32 round mags for 3.50. :neener:

I think the smart guys are buying ammo. Guns will be around but ammo is going to get short.

The week before election I bought a Bersa Thunder .380CC and a CZ P-01 in case there is a ban on sale of semi-autos in the future.

I bought and mailed a money order for a Nickel Bersa 380 on election day. Not really intentional but I'm sure I'll always remember the date I bought that pistol. Think I'll call it BO

Since election:

2000 primers
1lb powder
Rifle on lay-a-way
2 Mini 14 mags
2 AR-10 mags

Trading some pistols for a rifle or 2 today----wars are won with rifles--not pistols.

After I donated all my money to the O'Bama Campaign, I have nothing left for those evil monsters things

Don't worry, you'll have money again soon enough. You don't even have to work to get it back. :D

Nope, nothing on election day. Working on getting some stuff now though.

I paid the governemt $150 for a piece of paper that says I can carry a gun concealed... does that count? I'm also planning on going to the gun show this upcoming weekend and purchasing some more boom-sticks:evil:

Nope! But I'm filling out my first ATF form right now. :)

It's SBR time. I'll be extremely well-documented if they need to come find me.

It seems like a silly way to spend money right now, but I can't legally buy the friggin' UPPER without registering the lower, and what if they ban the UPPERS?!?! :cuss:

I figure it's better to get a complete rifle then buy something else, instead of having a bunch of useless parts if they throw a curveball.

God help this country.

I bought a revolver by chance on 11/3. It was a target of opportunity rather than anticipation of the election results.

My LMT Defender AR-15 was delivered on election night. A BCM 16" upper was delivered two days later.

Already a lifetime member of the NRA but as of Tuesday my 1 year old is also a lifetime member ;).

ordered a XD9 sc. bitone, stainless on black- on the 2nd or 3rd
I have one of each- 5", 4" now a 3"

Since election day

Ar-15 A2 complete + 2 cheapo plastic 20rd mags it came with
30 rnd DPMS mag

On layaway
10 30rd PMags
DPMS lower

I don't have many guns (can count them on my hands) and I don't need much ammo.

I do have components to load my own, which I enjoy doing.

Now that my guns are sighted in, I don't go to the range to burn up what ammo I do have. I hunt more than I shoot.

When I shoot, I make each shot count.

I went to the gunshow this morning thinking to buy a nice AR carbine to replace the two I lost in a recent unfortunate boating accident!

$800.00 black guns are now $1600.00 and up.:what::barf: :scrutiny: :cuss: Bought a nice old Marlin 336ADL in .32 Special instead.:D

I bought almost 4,000 rounds of ammunition yesterday.:)

It was charged on an account I have at the store.

After I got it home, I really felt uncomfortable buying all that and had buyer's remorse last night:uhoh:, and took it all back this morning.

Now, I'm happy!:)

I have two pistols and I'd already bought a S&W M4 so the last thing was a nice shotgun. Snagged a Remington 870 18", 6+1 w/ folding stock just a couple days ago. The circle is complete....something, something Dark Side something, something Luke Skywalker lol

Went today with a buddy of mine to pick out his first AR-15. He quickly bought the last S&W M&P15 in the store for just a tad more than I had paid a few months ago. They were sold out of .223/5.56 where we were but thankfully Wally World was loaded with Rem 200/rnd boxes for about .38 cents a round.
