No way I could choose a favorite. I have a lot of .22lr's and there is no way I could ever pick a favorite, I love them all equally.

My favorite rifle I own is my .22 Henry Golden Boy with a Lyman Tang sight. I have shot it so many more times than I have any other gun.

Here are my top three. Couldn't choose just one. This is in no certain order.

Winchester 9422 made in 1976.

Winchester 75 Target, this rifle has a 28" tapered heavy barrel and is all metal and wood. made in 1948

Remington M540XR Target this rifle has a 26" heavy barrel. It sports a Redfield Palma rear sight and a Redfield Olympic front sight. Made in 1980.

Mine is a Savage MkII BV topped by a 2.5-7X Weaver scope. The laminated stock and heavy barrel look sharp. Very accurate, nice heft, feels and shoots like a "real" rifle. And I got a pair of 10-rd spare magazines for a good price. And being a bolt action, it doesn't burn through ammo nearly as fast as my Remington 552 has a tendency to do. Those durn semiautos!

My Stevens Model 87D has no equal in my collection. It is my favorite and holds the most sentimental value. It was my Grandparents only gun...my Grandmother (whom I was very close to and passed away about 2.5yrs ago) used it to kill a bull. She had a bit of trouble with a neighbor's bull getting in the garden and warned him that should it ever happen again, she would shoot it. The next time it returned, she shouldered the .22LR and shot his testicles out from under him. The bull was found dead later that afternoon near a local stream. The rifle has been very accurate and reasonably reliable, and despite it being the gun of least value in my collection it holds the most meaning and is the most valuable to me. How many bulls have you killed with yours? :neener:

Personally on my current list the GSG5 makes the top.
Overall nothing in numbers and accessories beats the 10/22!

I really like my Remington Nylon 77 .... but my -favorite- is my Winchester 72A. That one was my dads ... now it's mine. First gun I ever shot ... 50 years ago.

Model 99 M-1 Marlin

Got it 2 1/2 years ago at a gun show for $160. Beautiful condition with walnut wood and the original rear sight present...adjustable for windage and elevation. Shoots accurately. I put an olive drab sling on to finish off the "military look." Didn't want a scope. Just sold it to a wonderful gun loving nephew on a trade. I hated to see it go but I really like the nephew and he has wanted this gun since he first saw it. I really like the nephew but he also gave me 2000 rounds of factory 9mm for it. He got it cheap a couple years ago.

A lot of good choices out there...

For family plinking I recently bought three 22 LRs...

CZ 452 Pappa Bear

Marlin 925R Mama Bear

Savage Mark II Baby Bear

All three are very accurate.

The Savage is by far the lightest of the bunch, very accurate great for a kid. Seems a little too light for my tastes.

The Marlin 925R is very accurate, feels substantial. I did encounter some FTE issues (as I did with the Savage) using Wally World Federals. Overall a very good rifle.

The CZ is my personal favorite. Nice wood stock, adjustable iron sights and adjustable trigger. Very tight bore, in fact my new cleaning kit rod barely fits through the chamber. I love this rifle.

any winchester pump "gallery" rifle, 1890 or later. don't own one; probably never will. therefore a rossi-taurus clone.

my .22 rifle... a nylon 66.
