For me Kahrs, especially my Kahr K9 are the perfect CCWs.

For concealed carry I wouldot choose a pistol with any extrenal hammers or safety. In alife threathening situation I do not want to have any concerns about the grif or slide safety or having the hammer snag. Thus in full size guns I would opt for one of the S&W M&P's or Glock's or in the subcompact line the Kahr pistols. I carried a Glock-36 but found that I could not conceal reliably at all times. I finally opted for a Kahr PM-9 in a pocket holster - it is my constant companion.

I got tired of compromising with small pistols years ago. This isn't really that hard to hide:




In leather:

Thin grips and an after market short trigger can make a 1911 easier for small hands. The Springfield EMP is designed around the shorter 9mm/.40s&w round and has a smaller grip than the standard 1911. Heck of a nice gun but they're not cheap.

Dealing with the external safeties and hammer on a 1911 is all about training. Personally I prefer the safeties as they make it harder to have a AD/ND (ala Plaxico Burris).

With a revolver the bad guy gets to see what is about to hurt him...and often that is enough to end the problem. (no round under the hammer for the purpose of the pic)

Current CCW is a Glock 26. Usually carry IWB, but depending on attire, I sometimes ankle carry.

I carry several different ones depending on how I'm dressed and what I feel like carrying at the time.

I've got to take some more (better) pictures because like this first one, the only pictures I have is the guns with targets.

This is as big as I carry. The 45ACP Kimber Ultra Covert.

I have a three gun ccw rotation, But I have a 1911 on me 97% of the time and only carry the bug by itself when i dont have time to holster a 1911 on.
But i always have the bug with me even tho i know its more of a novelty for a civilian to carry a bug but i love the gun.

Kahr MK9 that is my back pocket bug.


Winter OWB CCW- Custom build on PT1911 45acp frame/slide/barrel the rest all hand fitted high end parts with melt and bevel job.


Summer IWB CCW RIA CS Officer's 3.5" .45acp and the god awful grips replaced with Ajax black polymers.

Take your pick.....One Ruger SP101 and 6 Colts...2 Agents, 2 Cobras, 1 Detective Special, and 1 MK III Lawman.

I carry this combo every day.
XDm 3.8 9mm loaded with 20 rounds of 115 gr 9PBLE +P+, a spare 19 rnd mag, a P3AT loaded with CorBon ammo and a light.
I have fairly small hands, too.

Sig P250. I know opinions on this pistol are all over the place, but mine works very well for me and has functioned flawlessly. I have no complaints.

My carry piece is a Glock 36. Changed out the stock sights for Heini slant pro straight 8 night sights, put in an extended slide stop lever, crimson trace laser, +0 magazine grip extension and the butt plug. I can't think of a better CCW firearm, for me.

I carry the G23 about 98% of the time and when I feel the need for better concealment, I carry the LCP.

Here is my little pocket cannon. She doesn't seem as bad on the recoil as others say for the light weight 357 snub noses.

Here are a couple

The first is a pic of the gun I carry the most, pretty much every day. It is a Kimber Tac Pro II that I refinished in Duracoat. The slide is matte black and the frame is Colt Gray. The holster is a month old VM-II, not yet broken in.



The next gun is my most recent purchase, a Kimber Ultra carry. I carry this in the same holster. The shorter grip and lighter weight make this super easy to carry in dress clothes.


The next is my dress up gun. It is a Kimber Eclipse Pro II.
