What would you blow a 2k budget on?

To paraphrase Jackal, a basic Saiga 5.45 with the 10-rd. mag (less ammo consumption), 7,000 rds. of ammo and a Tech Sight designed for an AK.

Certain Russian guns can be much harder to find right now, with events happening near the Black Sea (for the last few months).

2k just to frivolously spend? Probably the M1 Grand + ammunition, I need a 30-06 semi auto to compliment my 1903A3 build.

Or I'd just buy 2k worth of 30-06 reloading components.

I'm half way done with my .50 Beowulf build. The way I want it with optics installed will put it in the $2500 range though.

Add $300 more and get a SCAR :)

Right now I would probably buy a really nice hunting rifle since I don't have one. What I would probably do is build another AR, a pistol build until I can get the SBR stamp, would just keep the Sig arm brace on it until then. 10.5" Noveske barrel and then all the usual goodies to go around it.

A Cooper Firearms Model 52 Jackson hunter in 6.5-06 or .270 win. Second choice would be a Sako 85 Finnlight.

This.

I have wanted a Les Baer for ten years. Found a used .223 with 6.5 Grendel that fell through. Ordered one from two dealers and never received either one.
Found this on G.B. Will pick it up tomorrow at LGS. Slightly over $2000, but not looking back.

If I'm 100% happy with it! there will be a 16" .264 LBC upper in my near future.

I just went through this with an unplanned large tax refund from both federal and state. I had some exceptional itemized medical deductions last year so my withholding was $2300 to much.

Consequently, I blew it on the two Winchester lever guns shown below.
(previously posted in another sub forum)

On top is a NIB model 1886 in 45-70 made by Miroku

Below is an original 1892 in 32-20 made in 1905. I got a deal on it since it had been refinished at some point. It looks pretty nice to be 109 years old.

There always too many guns and not enough time or money to get them all.

Cheers

Me personally, at this point in time....
-a single shot .410
-a Kidd trigger assembly for 10/22
-Saiga bullet guide kit and mags
-Remington 700 Speedlock & larger bolt knob
-Walther PPQ 9mm
-Ruger Single 6 Convertible
-TacSol pic rail & Primary Arms Micro dot for my Buckmark

.....not that I've put much thought into it, or anything :-/

Option 1- a National Match AR15, a lever action .22, and reloading components/.22 bricks til I run out of money.
Option 2 - a Taylor 416ce.

I'm all set in the AR department or that would be my first pick. Although maybe a Knights SR15. Krebs AK? Maybe a lightly used SCAR 16S. Springfield M1A National Match?

Or if you're feeling generous you could buy 20 cricket rifles and give them to every parent of a young child you know.

Or you could buy $2000 worth of tannerite and let it rip (make sure to make youtube video of this).

Since this is in the Rifle Country forum, I'll keep my response Rifle-related.

I'd say spend about $500 on buying ammo and/or extra mags and ammo. With the rest, I'd invest in buying up some milsurp guns and waiting for the next panic. I'm not saying, I'm just saying, you know what I'm saying? :)
