What would you blow a 2k budget on?

Trying to figure out what, if anything, I want to spend a nice windfall on. It comes to just under two thousand so I'll pose a question to the forum, what would you get yourself with that kind of money?

Also: Keep in mind that I'm asking what YOU would want.

the new model 69 combat magnum from Smith and Wesson and then reloading components so I could feed it :what: 44 mag is expensive or since this is rifle country an 1894 marlin in 44 mag/41 mag :D:D:D

Colt Peacemaker in 45 colt made by Colt. With what is left over I'd look for a used SXS shotgun.

Stainless 3" billet about 2 ft long. 1.9" spade or spoon bit. Lumber for a mini cannon transport rig complete with munitions cart. 2 cases beer for machinist to turn and drill said billet into said cannon. The remainder of the money to be spent on range pickup golf balls and pyrodex.

That's all hypothetical...but is it legal?

If someone gave me a $2k check that was to go specifically to a rifle, I would get a 9mm AR-15 with ambidextrous controls, Aimpoint RDS, flashlight and mount, sling. Whatever's leftover goes to spare mags and ammo.

I haven't even received my first AR but I'd get a second AR in 6.8 and a nice .45 to go with it. Then start looking for reloading components.

I think that should do...for me.

Savage 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor and a Vortex PST 6x24-50 FFP optic...

On second thought, I would probably go with a 10 FCP in 308 since I already reload for it... My bad...

Probably something in .308 semi-auto. I'm just a little ways from completing my first AR build, which was the more affordable option for now. Whatever I'd pick I'd spend the rest on mags and ammo.

-Buckmark or 22/45

-Tikka T3 lite in .308 (or maybe a Gunsite Scout)

-Ruger GP-100

-lever-action in .357

I'd build the nicest AR I could piece together for about $700-800. Put a $200-300 optic on it. Find a beater Mosin with a good bore for a project, an Arch Angel stock for it, 2 spare magazine, decent scout scope mount for it, an appropriate scope under $200, and the tools to recrown the barrel. I'd put the rest towards a used Savage in .30-06, I saw a nice one with a good Nikon scope recently for about $500.

Or skip the Mosin and Savage. Spend the rest on reloading components and/or another Springfield XDs and spare mags. But then again, I miss my old AK. Maybe get a nice VEPR (or other high-end variant) and as much 7.62x39 as I could.

A starter competition pistol, some ammo, and some more training.

But since this is the rifle forum, I would probably get another AR, in something other than .223/5.56. Maybe something in the 6.5+mm range.
