It helps to get a more local perspective.
Last nights episode showcased the 1911 again. A detective who was at the casino asked Tom Selleck if he had a permit for that gun. He paused for a moment and then said, "yes I do". The detective never asked to see the permit.
I have to think that Tom has some input into the script! 8-)
I'm also a James Caan fan. I heard they had to cut the showws budget, and his salary was a bit on the high side.
In my opinion, they couldn't have gotten a better replacement in Tom Selleck.
I just watch Friday nights season premier of "Las Vegas". Tom Selleck replaced James Caan this season. There is a scene in which Tom Selleck calls a meeting and is seen carrying a 1911 in a belt slide holster.
Nothing is said on the show about this.
I wonder if that was Tom Sellecks idea...

He just won a second term here in MN. His name has been mentioned as a possible candidate.
He twice signed shall issue legislation into law here. He also signed a range protection bill into law...

Whats missing from this article? Where is the line from local law enforcement telling the rest of us that "while it worked out ok this time, leave this to the professionals". Also, im curious about a deputy bailing out of an airplane to handcuff the subject? Did he have a chute on?

Even before I got to the end of this story, I knew a statement like that would be in there.
"We commend him," Higgins said. "But we don't encourage people to take that kind of risk. He could have been hurt."
I think the police say this stuff to try to keep a monopoly on the protection...
