Just looked at gunbot.net and saw they have alot of powders listed for sale.
The best part is many of the powders, are still available. I.E. 8LB REDDOT, GREENDOT, WST and many more for the pistol reloader!
Just thought I would share the info.
be safe.
I live in California, have many Sig products.
I want a Sig Nightmare 1911 with the bobbed grip.
It looks as though that is the only difference from the ones I own and that are Ca compliant.
Is there a LEGAL way to purchase this weapon in another state and have it in my possession in...
I've been experiencing a new problem. 9mm, 150gr bayou bullets, coated lswc. loaded on a Dillon xl650.
seated at 1.10" coal. some of the reloads do not seat in the barrel with the satisfying "plunk". They have a bit of a bulge midway in the brass cartridge, stopping them from dropping all the...
THESE ARE MY RESULTS NO ENDORSEMENT IMPLIED. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. :D :D :D
Well I tried my new Expansion Industries powder. SHOT WITH A NEW GLOCK 34 9MM.
ETR-7, xtreme plated 9mm 147gr, CCI 500 primers, various used brass, 1.12 coal.
Starting at Minimum powder charge
3.6gr - 904fps average...
I was at the local indoor range the other day and saw a new SO at the range.
He had a holstered 6" stainless steel revolver that looked like a .357 or .44.
it looked similar to my model 66
In the holster it was cocked, and the trigger was back in the trigger guard like it was ready to...
At the last IDPA classifier, I had a G34 9mm start to keyhole and or tumble bullets. :banghead:
I pulled apart some of the bullets and this is what I found.
Berry's 9mm 124gr copper plated projectiles
4.0gr titegroup powder
1.11-1.13 coal
pretty strong crimp, measured the crimp on the...
Well I shot my second IDPA classifier today!
I dropped about 20 seconds from my previous try, but still in the MM category.
I have made some great improvements, but seem to have a nagging brain fart when the timer beeps! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Much improved in stages...
Do rifles with the same caliber as a pistol use the same load data as say a Sig P226 in 9mm?
I'm thinking of building an AR lower with 9mm as the caliber.
be safe.
Well I put a deposit down on a P232 .380, about 2 months ago. My local LGS said that there sig rep was having trouble getting stock from Germany.
So I went in and looked at the P238 .380, great size and I switched my deposit and now will get the P238 next Monday! Seems like a better gun...
Has anyone used one of these rear sights on a pistol for target shooting?
They move the rear sight forward in a tunnel so only your dominant eye sees it and the front sight for faster target acquisition. (when shooting with both eyes open.)
Anyone used this sight? anyone?
be safe.
Well I have been shooting IDPA for a little over a year now. I started and stayed with CDP. I shoot a Sig 1911 .45acp
I stayed with it for the first 6 months and just learned and helped. Got classified as a Marksman in October.
There are a lot of good shooters in our groups. I was always right...
The first thing I can remember ever hearing, learning or thinking about guns is CONSIDER THEM ALWAYS LOADED. EVEN IF YOU JUST SET IT DOWN, CHECK IT TO SEE ITS CLEAR AND UNLOADED EVERY TIME YOU PICK IT UP.
With that being said, I wonder what the real story and caliber of the weapon that Mr. Jose...
My heart goes out to the soldier who died in the recent attack on Ottawa's Capitol.
Honors for the Sargent at Arms who stopped one of the gunmen.
CNN showing Ottawa LEO's and their training and excellent gun handling.
It looks like they were very ready and well trained. God bless.
be safe

while I was at work, my wife texted me that she received notice that our home security system was activated thru the garage sensor. Sheriffs showed up and searched the surrounding area found nothing out of order.:uhoh:
All the time I was thinking that someone had accessed the garage...
Well I finally made a classifier on Saturday!:D Missed the previous 2 due to work and travel.:o
I thought I was gonna be smooth and efficient. Calm and collect. Well my ego thought that. I however found I need alot more work and patience. I just made Marksman category.:( I was expecting to...
There are many pistols that are not on the California approved list for sale.
I understand that is because they havent been submitted to review and paid the fee for looking over said pistol.
Is is legal to buy a say 1911 Sig Nightmare, where it is legal to own, and then bring it back to...
Ok gonna replace the barrel in my sig 1911 .45acp.
What would your match grade replacement be?
On a budget, and if money was no object?
My original Black Nitron finish gun is showing some wear on OR IN the barrel, and am thinking about switching it out pretty soon.
be safe.
I saw a shooter at an IDPA match with a Glock 34. It had a rear sight that looked to be very long. It was mounted at the back in the normal dovetail groove, but was long enough to almost reach the ejection port.
It kinda looked like the sight was set forward on the gun, reducing the sight...
