Smith & Wesson M&P no longer in US Army pistol trials

With the price of drones and smart bombs I dont know why we don't issue everyone a Les Bauer 45 with pearl handles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    TOO many choices

The sig is attractive, im thinking the same, but with its weight, I think you just default to the g26. No one ever complains that gun. The PPS is also a contender, versatile, slim, and super accurate.

How many models of the R1 are there

South African R1. THeir version of the Fn-FAL. My Dad found one in the trunk of a rental car once in Namibia.

A Grudging Review of the Glock 19

Glocks are tools, and good ones at that. I can honesty say I shoot my g19 the worst of all my guns, but it goes the most places with me. It will always fire, 15 rds so I need no spare, its not too big, not too small, and if it falls into the lake one day, I won't cry over it either. I will...

What if I don't want to pocket carry a lcp?

Ha, I was just going to add the "J frame and go home" and the "p290". How is the p290 weight in the pants? I tried a lcr at the store, and I noticed a good diff. between the .38 and .357 in the pants. Is 15 oz the limit?

What if I don't want to pocket carry a lcp?

Stepping up from the 380's, whats the next best option but can still pocket carry reasonably? Winter time a coat pocket, summer maybe IWB, but still need pant pocket option. My new job has me all over the place, sometimes inner city, sometimes peoples homes. So I need 100% concealment. CM9...

    Glock 19 opinions?

I recently sold off my revolvers and 1911, but kept my gen 3 g19. It is everything people say it is. But, it does;t "feel right" in everyones hand. I'm one of those people, and find myself looking for it's replacement. Make sure you shoot it first, and try out some other guns. I like the...

    What's a good 1911 in the $700-$800 range?

Maybe a bit out of the price range, but anyone know how are the SIG 1911's are?

    Pick your all round pistol!

I just went through this. I sold off everything but my g19. I'd have kept my S&W 686, but it was a 6" model. A 4" and that would have been the gun I kept. I am now planning to trade the g19 for either a g27 or a 29/30. I want more power with only one piece. The g27 can fire 9mm, 40...

Who uses a Pistol Grip ONLY?

I think pistol grips get a bad rap. Most HD sitation will be very up close and personal, and a 12,or 20 GA, pistol grip will put a bad guy 5-10 feet away down hard. Id take one over a 9mm anyday in my hallway. Also, Hockok45 was hitting his gong, one handed with slugs without a problem...

    Recommendation? Single Stack for CCW

I second the SIG 239 and PPS. The SIG is one of the most accurate guns Ive ever shot, the Walther carries better and accuracy is almost as surprising.

    .357 snubbie or 9mm?

You need the POCKET ROCKET! G33 10 rounds of light weight .357 mag performance, in a smaller, lighter package.

    Best auto for CCW

The Walther PPS was incredible to shoot and carries better than anything that can shoot tight groups at 25 yards.

    Glock 17 or Beretta 92FS

    I second the High Power.

Do you allow kids to point toy guns at people?

I don't let my 8 yr son have any toy guns. There are real guns in my house, although secure. My fear is that he will find an unsecure gun a friends house. I was taught the same as a child. I lived in Africa and my dad kept a loaded R1 (FN-FAL) in the trunk of our car and my mother had a shotgun...

What's up with all the .40S&W ragging?

There is a place for every caliber. To me, 40 SW is a good one gun caliber. So is the .357 sig. If I'm going to have two guns, well then, a 9mm and a .45 acp are better options. On the flipside, most gun pro's ive dealt with have told me the 40SW has a spin on it that make follow ups harder.

    What to buy?

.357 python Sig210 P7 S&W Out doorsman, or save up and get a pre-war magnum.

First time shooting for prospective US Marine

Never a marine, but ditto on the PT. He does not want to injure himself now or in boot camp. If he is not in shape now, start with walking and hiking and then build up to a decent 5 k run. Add in pushups, pullups and crunches and a healthy diet. This will also send him in with a confidence and a...
