I use Hodgdon PB. 4.4 grains with a 125gr xtreme plated and magnum primer.
Felt recoil is almost non-existent and don't have unburned powder. They keep my stainless revolver cleaner than some other powders.
I have a bunch of 9mm "carbine only" rounds with black tips. They pass the magnet test so I don't think they are AP. Action arms imported them from IMI years ago when they were selling Uzi's, etc. Brand name on the box is "Eagle". I have fired them from my Uzi carbine and they are "hot" rounds...
I don't load any lead but with a plated 125gr bullet I use 4.4gr of Hodgedon PB. I use a magnum primer and powder location is not a problem. They burn clean and felt recoil is almost non existent.

Never used ramshot but do a lot of 9mm. As long as your load is within range (under max), give it a try and see how it performs.
I do differ the loads for my Uzi carbine and my handguns. The Uzi is built like a tank and I have used the IMI "carbine only" rounds. They are hot little rounds I...
I've seen several posts that mention "loose primer pockets".
In my decades of reloading I have not encountered this. I use an old single stage as my priming station so I don't get as much "feel" of resistance such as with a hand primer. So what actually constitutes a loose pocket?
Most of the...
I prefer to tap test. That is taping the bullet (about as hard as I can with one hand) on soft wood. Of course this doesn,t include soft points. I have never had a problem with pistol cases. Have had problems with 7.62x39 due to the violent action, especially with xtreme bullets which are short...
I use rc's method with some variations. I charge 10 cases at a time, weighing every fifth charge. I call the measured charge my "golden bullet" and it always goes at the top of the row of five in the tray. Then the pen light check. Then I place a bullet in one case and hold it as I move it to...
Thanks gentlemen. Something I haven't seen so wanted to check. Been loading since Bill Clinton first threatened a 200% ammo tax. No matter how long you do this, there is always something new and different!
Hey All,
I have a three die set of RCBS TC 40 S&W/10mm auto dies. I have had them a long time. I don't load 40 S&W too often because I don't have one anymore. I load for friends. I was just working on some x-treme 165gr RNFP loads. I noticed that the seater plug was leaving a slight...
I've used the universal clays for light 9mm loads. This should work fine for a 38 spcl, 125gr FP. Right now I am using PB for light 38 sp loads with a 550 primer.
