Here are some more pics of the TL-15 safe. One thing I noticed about the door. It was very smooth in operation but the inertia of 700 lbs of door gets your attention. One certainly would not want to have a finger in the wrong spot.

I am wanting to replace the Sargent and Greenleaf lock on gunsafe and I do not know how the dial attaches to the lock through the safe door. Is this something that can be done at home or is strictly for professionals? Thanks,

Atomic weight is not the same as specific gravity. Tungsten's specific gravity is around 19.6, lead's is around 11.34, bismuth is around 9.75, and steel is around 7.85.

I think they were threaded 9/16" x 24 tpi.

One thing you might want to check is the chamber length. I had a Remington 11 that had a 2-5/8" chamber.

Ranch Products makes/made a scout rail that replaced the top part of the gas block. From what I recall, they were made of steel. They seemed a little crude in aesthetics, but strong. Midway lists them.

Michiguns site shows a BPS that they have modified with a side loading port. I have no experience with this modification, but it looks interesting. It could be costly to have done and would probably void any warranties, but if I only had $212 in the BPS HC, it would be tempting.

I do not know for sure, but I think trying to hold the bolt or slide shut with one's thumb, finger, or any other body part might not be the best thing to do. Having done it a couple of times many years ago finally "cured" me of it!
