I use 777 in my T\C rifle, but the webpage warns that it will not ignite if you do not have 209 ignition. It has no sulfur in it, from what I have read, and I guess the sulfur increases ingition ease. It may work fine with a #10 cap, but the info does not look good.

Thank you for the advise Old Snow. I tried out the Sabots, and cleaned the barrel with alcohol between each shot, and got the groups down to 1 1/2" at 50 yards. That is not spectacular, but I am happy to know that if I work at the loads I can probably get a good group.

Smoke, I thought of that, but someone told me that I would have to modify the magazine, the extractor, and the bolt face also to get it to feed the 300 Savage. The 30-30 is almost identical to the 303 savage, so the action work would not be neccessary, just a new barrel
