I'll give em a call tomorrow. Any thoughts on the loose slide? If you don't hold it forward it will come back and eject the shell after firing. It doesn't seem to affect the performance other than scaring the crap out om me when I go cycle it and the chamber is already open.

on Sunday we put about 300 rounds through it and the stock came loose and cracked. He wasn't to pleased about that. The slide also requires a firm grip to keep it in place when firing, I'm not an expert with shotguns, but that doesn't seem right to me.

Personally if someone sticks a gun in my face, I feel they have a very strong death wish, and I am going to kill them. I don't plan to get killed siting around with my thumb up my @$$. If they have made the decision to point a gun at you it is reasonable to believe that they plan to use it.

What about picketing the place? If there were enough people to picket then you could get a lot of attention for the cause, especially during the holiday season. Whenever the granolas from Oregon picket, they get media coverage. the same should apply here. But maybe it doesn't work like that...

I met a guy in sportsman's Warehouse that offered me a Mossy 500 with a 26in barrel. It is in good condition, he wants $200 for it. Is this a good deal? Should I ask to fire it before i purchase it? Any info helps.

I don't think that the one I have has even been fired enough to break it in. Would the value go down if i sanded the stack and refinished it? Before Firing the gun do you think I should have a gunsmith check it over?
