Looking at a 300 winmag. What's the difference exactly in the bolt actions of the Remington and Browning? The A Bolt feels like it's much smoother to mes, but I know the 700 is tried and true. Just trying to find out what the appreciable differences are. Thanks in advance. EB

I have a Springfield range finding scope on my M1A. Kind of neat...tuned up out to 1000 meters, never shot it that far though.

So which should I get? .308 or .300 win mag? What's the recoil difference between the two? Can you go out for an afternoon of shooting with the win mag and not damage your shoulder? Also will be used for deer hunting and maybe something bigger, but rarely. Would be reloading my own ammo too...
