Baker's rifle was not actually a true 2-bore.

It was more like a 3+ bore. Was built at Holland & Holland in London specifically for him. It likely beat him up because it was overcharged and not suited for his application. For list of true bore sizes see here:

You can buy yourself a box of 2-Bore brass, slugs, a chamber reamer, and some dies and make your own blaster.

This is a great book with lot's of information on many topics.

As you'll note, the rifle was H&H #1526 - someone with some extra time could contact H&H's New York studio for some documentation from London.
