VIENNA, Va. - A frightening experience for twin 10-year-old girls allegedly involving a man who had taught the girls martial arts at a school in Vienna.
Police say Andrew Jacobs, 42, of Vienna is charged with burglary, two counts of abduction and four counts of assault after he allegedly broke into their Vienna home late Saturday.

Jacobs taught the girls martial arts at a Vienna school, and apparently did a pretty good job, judging by the bruises seen on his face in court Monday. Police say he got a black eye and other injuries when the girls fought back during the break in.

The girls also managed to partially pull off a mask Jacobs was wearing, and they also recognized his voice. The parents hit Jacobs over the head with a lamp.

A judge is ordering Jacobs held without bond on assault, abduction and burglary charges.

Hi all,

This attempted kidnapping happened fairly close to me in Northern Virginia. Last night's local newscast had a slightly different spin on it.

In the Channel 5 (Fox) version, the parents were woken by the girl's screams. They went into the girl's bedroom, saw the intruder and hit him with everything but the kitchen sink. He escaped but was captured the next day.

My wife looked at me as we watched this on the news and casually mentioned they would not have to look far for the perp if a similar event happened in our house.

I mean, this is a clear case of these girls and their parents

have retreated and waited for the proper authorities
to take action. We need 20,000 Lamp Control laws.

Really though we ought to take up a collection and buy

What the girls need is for a real martial arts school to adopt them and give them 3 times a week MA/FMA classes so that the next troll that crawls out from under the bridge meets an even more skilled defense.
