Some great looking 1911's! Here's my first 1911in 10mm. Sweetened up a bit with a Wilson extended slide stop and a Fusion magwell. This thing makes even a wheelgun fan like me want more.

My latest-a Colt Lightweight Government. The balance and overall handling of this gun feels so much more natural to me than a comparable steel framed Government model.

My tuned up and customized Pro Carry II 9mm. Kimber SS slide stop, ambi thumb safety, grip safety, and tactical night sights. Wilson Combat firing pin, extractor, mainspring housing/magwell. Cylinder&Slide hammer group and Nowlin extended mag release.

And my PT1911, complete rebuild. Only Taurus parts left are the slide and frame, mostly Ed Brown-barrel/bushing, trigger, mainspring housing, guide rod, grip safety, Hardcore firing pin, and extractor. Cylinder&Slide hammer group. Wilson Combat springs, extended slide stop and thumb safety. Nowlin extended mag release, and Novaks fiber sights.

I may have forgotten a few items on these pistols, but the important stuff is there. For what I invested in tools and parts and the original cost of the guns, I probably could have bought 3 high end 1911's. But the experience was well worth it, and I have everything I'll ever need to work on or build another 1911.

dewalt-2- Nice PT1911!
I just did the same thing to mine and kept the frame/slide/barrel and changed the rest will all machined parts and no MIM. But i did a complete carry bevel/melt and totally removed the billboards on both sides of the slide, its being refinished in parkerization with KG GunKote over it. It should be done any day now and its killing me.
I only put 50 rounds threw it before shipping it off as a quick function and reliability test and i couldn't believe how the gun performed.
I will post pics here once its back.

Rail Driver- I love the RIA CS also! But tbh i hated the light colored grips and found some black textured polymer grips that are like grip tape and i added a flush 7 round Kimber mag and the gun is fantastic. Im even able to carry OWB with just a t-shirt with a very good belt and pancake minimalist holster.

To everyone with such beautiful 1911's i do envy many of them and one day hope to be able to afford a DW and a Wilson.

ok ill play

$25K-$30K worth of fighting irons.......which one do you carry and rely on for self defense?

Actually none of those.

Here's my carry gun, though it doesn't look as good now. ;)
