I have posted on here before about this cartridge, well I just got my barrel and dies for it yesterday in the mail! Finally coming together. Now the realization of the reality of not having squat for published data is sinking in. I bought 8 pounds of IMR 4064 which I plan on using in both this and my new 6.5x284 Lapua . But I happened on the latest issue of Handloader magazine, which had an article on the 4155 Enduron powder. Claiming to reduce copper fouling much like CFE 223. Which I figured would be the ticket with a fast 40 or 52 grain bullet. Or possibly using CFE223 in the cheetah. Any advice???

Stay with the 4064, it's always a top choice for the CHeetah. I've always used top quality barrels with my CHeetahs and never had a problem with copper fouling with any of the bullets I've used so far.

What twist barrel do you have on your gun? I ordered a 1-14" barrel for mine. I was trying to come as close to the gun that Charmichael and Huntington designed back then as possible. I'm pretty sure that they used a 1-16 barrel though. I ended up with a shilen barrel , and am planning on loading the 52 grain hornady BTHP along with the 40 grain v max. Im hoping with a healthy charge of 4064 to be able to bust 4300 FPS. what speeds are you seeing ?
