The 10-22 is arguably one of the more common and loved .22 Semi-Autos. I had one, ruger 10-22 Stainless target, heavy barrel, bolt buffer, mag extension, bedded action, bipod, ArchAngel stock, etc. The only thing I didn't do was replace the barrel. I am a fan of the ruger mags, being able to shoot 10 to 25 rounds in a mag and more if you really wanted to. I could never get my rifle to shoot anywhere near as accurately as my Savage Mark II BTVSS bolt action, it was very touchy when torquing the action screws, too tight and it become unreliable, even with CCI, so, when a friend wanted it I sold it to him for less than I had in it.
Been several years, and decided I wanted to add a semi-auto .22 rifle to the stable again. Now, to be fair, I already picked a cheap one up but I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I don't know if it will be good or not, it is not a 10-22 so it will not be as upgradeable, wont have the cool mags, etc., but I am hoping it will at least be accurate at 50 yards, I can live with only 10 rounds if it will shoot moa at 50 yards. If not, I will sell it and get something else.
So, here is the question for this thread,
Do you have a .22LR Semi-Auto, that is not a Ruger 10-22, that is MOA accurate at 50 yards, and reliable no FTFs, FTEs?
