OH well <sighhhh> .. I just bought 1200 rds of Prvi.. Many reviews I have been reading is that Prvi shoots better than the XM193,but who knows. I got 600 rds of the 62gr BTFMJ Prvi and 600 rnds of the M855 62gr Armor piercing Mil-Spec Prvi. I thought for the price, it was slightly better deal than the XM193 I was seeing. Also, someond told me the M855 ammo is far superior to M193 ammo of any kind. I did purchase it at Wideners, hope it won't take them 2 years to ship it to me . LOL.. I also bought 100 rds of Match grade FMJBT .308 Privi. It was cheapest match grade ammo I have seen, so I hope it shoots well in my big gun.

I just will pray I didn't waste my $580 on this purchase. It was the cheapest brass ammo I could find anywhere and almost eveyone who has shot it seems to favor it over XM193. I was reading endless ammo reviews and blogs on AR15.com, which influenced my decision.

the same someone that told you m855 was armor piercing?
they lied.

and no, m855 is not armor piercing

Don't worry, PRVI is good stuff. I have yet to have a malfunction of ANY kind while shooting that stuff, and I have shot thousands of rounds of it.

I prefer M193 spec ammo. It's better as far as I am concerned.

Well atleast for me, I like shooting my 5.56 out of short barrels 10.5", and a 14.5" barrel with permanent brake. So I prefer the 55gr stuff for the higher velocity out of short barrels, ymmv... With the 14.5" barrel that's ~90 yards of fragmentation range, and ~50 yards of fragmentation range with the 10" barrel, unless we start talking soft points:) !
