3 Things I'd never thought I'd do!

1. Make contact to buy a gun from an FFL dealer via Facebook.
2. Pay over $1,000 for a semi automatic pistol. (Fn 5.7 - love it!)
3. Receive a lightening fast background check approval via the internet.

As Dylan once said, "The times they are a changing"....!

Who knows what is next. AND, I hope it is for the better!

I might add that I received TOP NOTCH courtesy and service from National Sporting Goods in Jersey Shore, PA. I would buy another gun from them in a heartbeat.

I stop by Nat'l. Sporting Goods every time I'm in Jersey Shore. Which is in central PA, and nowhere near the New Jersey shore.

Some days it just seems like everything falls into place nicely. I bought a new CZ 455 .22 rifle from a local dealer on Jan. 20th.. They had it priced a lot less than I thought it was gonna be. Then the NICS check was so quick I couldn't believe it. This was at about 10 a.m. that day, then, a couple hours later we had a new president. Overall, it was a good day.

Ive had background check calls as short as 30 seconds, and never longer than 3 minutes. Internet background checks usually take about an hour. I refuse to guy from a place that does them. Im sure its just that they dont know how to do it, but still, an hour for a background check? I wonder if they are getting the results instantly, but are trying to keep you in the store.

I had a NICS check go so quickly yesterday morning that I hadn't even started out filling out the form. The shop has my info on file from previous transactions, and this was an inbound transfer, so they had my name already.

I told the guy when he aid "you're good to go." that I hadn't even had time to peruse his own wares, something I usually do while waiting..

The other half is busy.
A good old fashioned gun shop with friendly and helpful people.
I wonder if any of them are members of THR. I'll have to ask next time I stop in. I am due for a visit.

Florid does their NICS checks online now ,just depends on how fast your dealer can type! NJ could take months.....

I never thought you could buy canned cod livers off the internet and have it delivered for free to your house in two days but that's just what I did!!

Love the net. Great thing for gun owners, and those that like cod livers spread on rye bread!
