I opted instead for the $500 Life Membership promo they're having on Facebook, my logic is that they can use the extra $200 to help fight for 2A and I could spare it. Still a good deal IMO. Thanks y'all for your help and alerting us of these offers.

Thanks for the pm rjrivero. Unfortunately, they couldn't give me the $300 membership because of expiration issues but they did inform me of the $500 Facebook offer that they could do over the phone (I don't have Facebook). I opted to go ahead and sign up since I've been wanting to do it for a long time and think it's more important now than ever. I'll make up the extra $200 giving up something other than my gun rights. Thanks guys. Looking forward to digging more into THR now that I'm on board here too.

Well, looks like my supposition that this would continue until election time was wrong. It was a good run, and like they said, it was supposed to end in March. $500 is still less than I paid for my life membership, and it's still a good deal.

Wow, then I slid under the wire. I did it early last week, Monday I believe. Still, even at $500 it's not bad.

Thanks for the support at $500, but I would have hung up and called back to talk with another agent for the $300 offer.

I think you may well have a point there. Sometimes it is just a matter of who you talk to. The agent I initially had wanted a way to confirm who provided me the information. I told her it was a gentleman active in a gun forum I am active in. Hell, I don't know his phone number. She took the name and his member number, confirmed he was a life member and then took my credit card number for a $300 charge. That was it. That was again, Monday of this past week. I would give it another try with a different agent.

The $300 life deal is still good, you just have to be persistent. If you call and the person doesn't give it to you, hang up and call again until you reach someone who will.

The website life membership also still works. www.nra2012.org. (no dash between the nra and 2012) I just tried it. You have to sign into it using your sponsor's info including email. Make sure you have the right numbers in the right order.

Once in, skip to the bottom of the page and hit the continue button. You will come to a "Give a gift of freedom page". Scroll down to the form. The very first pull down menu says "I wish to give", "Select a gift membership" open that menu and choose the $300 Life option.

Fill out the rest of the forum with your own info as the giftee. Hit the complete your transaction button on the bottom.

Good luck, PM me if you need a sponsor

I have been looking for a sponsor myself. Last year I signed up for the EPL Life Membership and have made a couple payments toward that. It would be nice to reduce the $1,000 price to $300.

A sponsor would be much appreciated.
