This is going to my 10-year-old son. He will receive it in the deer woods this Fall, but he will start really "using" it when he's 14 and gets to hunt on his own, so the bigger one is better.
Thanks again Valkman! What a great thing for you to do! As I mentioned in my PM, let me know anytime you ever want some free Marketing help (but I don't think you need it )
I will post a review from my son and me when I receive this great Giveaway!
The skinner knife arrived to Morgan's attention yesterday. She had been gone all week for a school trip, and so I set the package on the desk for her. When she walked in, she saw a package in her name.
She didn't waste any time in opening it and looking her newest knife over tip-to-tip. Her smile went basically ear-to-ear. She loved the decorative pin, and the giraffe bone. Of course she couldn't wait to try that edge, and so sliced and diced the bubble wrap in which it was shipped. After she had her fun with it, she finally let ol' Dad have a peak at it…but not for very long. My word, I don't think I have ever seen an edge like that. I actually was able to shave the arm hair, and zero "pull". Lordy sakes!!!
We'll get some pictures posted from deer season, and I assured Morgan that in the event she did not get a deer to skin, that I would take her boar hunting. She likes venison and boar, so either in the freezer works for her tastes.
In closing, what a selfless gift you gave. It's a gift that will give, and give and give. She takes care of her firearms and knives, etc. That knife will be in use for decades! You really made the kid's day, and much more! We’ll post more in deer season, and the knife in-use! By the way, thank-you so very much for shipping the knife to Morgan in her name and to her attention. It drove home solidly in her mind (I think), that it's her gift from Valkman...not Dad Dee's.
We need to break out the old digital camera and snap some. She and her classmates were playing "spy" at camp and sent her camera tobbling down the concrete steps. It's okay...we have the old camera. We'll get some up.
