Hello, I've got a 4006 with the adjustable rear sight. I have some side to side play in the sight base. It looks like there is a set screw under the sight that has backed off. I raised the elevation as far is it would go thinking it would come all the way up and give me access to the set screw. However, I seem to be spinning my wheels. It's up all the way and I can't seem to get it any further.

Anyone have a tip or two?

Thanks

OK, stepping away helped. Once I got back to it I could see there are two plungers at the rear of the sight. Once I cleared them the sight came off the base. Sure enough the set screw was loose. If you do this watch out for the springs on the two plungers on the side and the plunger for the elevation screw. They like to fly away...
