Bobtailed S&W commander Sc in Crossbreed tucker or XD45 in Crossbreed or P45 in Crossbreed.

I went to a .38 snub-nose for a while, but we never really bonded. So I went back to my Taurus PT-745. The thing was I really wanted front pocket carry, so I just declared victory and started carrying the .45 in my pocket. Today I rearranged 1.25 ton of rocks in my back yard, helped 3 illegal aliens move a half-ton monster rock from my driveway to my backyard (those guys could build a pyramid), and went shopping with my wife, all with the .45 in my pocket (blue jeans). Not a problem. I have an Uncle Mike's Sidekick. I don't put the Taurus in there; the holster just sits in front of the gun to break up the print.

I carry a taurus pt-945 in a Don Hume IWB holster for my xd9 SC. It fits OK. Always carry with one in the tube and hammer down. When carried the handle is noticeable if you look closely.

All my carry guns start and end with 1911. :D

Springfield Armory Lightweight Champion, Lighweight Service (Government) or regular Service (Government) model in a CompTac C-T.A.C. or a Survival Sheath Systems Quad Magazine Shoulder Rig.

Para Ordnance C7.45 Black Watch Companion, 3.5 inch barrel, in a Crossbreed IWB holster. This is a very comfortable combination and I wear it every day. The 1911, as has been noted by others, is so slim that concealment is very easy. Here in the humid, muggy South I carry this rig beneath an untucked t-shirt in the summertime with no problem. I also carry OWB, occasionally, in a Galco Matrix hidden under a jacket or long untucked shirt.

Highly modified Colt Gold Cup in a "Tucker Tuckable". Gold Cup has had all of the sharp edges removed ,mainspring housing smoothed ,rounded and blended to the frame. sights have been angled and then smoothed for comfort while carrying. Slide and frame have been bead blasted, Now it just needs to go to Virgil Tripp for his magic chrome job and it will be the perfect CCW weapon.
For the life of me I cannot understand why some of you guys make the statement " when I do carry" I have been of the opinion that if you can carry, please, do carry, just my .02

Caspian ti framed commander in a galco belt slide and a desantis belt. I have custon holsters from several of the big names, and non are as comfortable and as easy to hide then the galco belt slide I use. Rather put my $$$$ into the gun, then holsters and belts.

At all times when I am dressed, there is a .45 ACP on my person, either a Bobtailed S&W Scandium Commander IWB or a Kimber Ultra Carry II in my pocket. At other times there is always one within a few feet of me.

Usually, it is a .357 revolver. But on those occasions when I choose a pistol, it's a S&W 4516 in an Alessi Talon.

Just wondering how many carry a .45 for a concealed carry piece. I usually carry a .38 snub but am toying around with carrying the .45 If you carry a .45, what holster have you found works the best for you??
I carry a .45 Commander sized 1911 design. I have one in lightweight and one in all steel. If I am going to be very active, I carry the lightweight model. In either case, they are carried in a Milt Sparks VM II IWB. Been carrying concealed for over a quarter century, and this is so far the most comfortable holster I've tried. All day carry is no problem, and I usually don't even feel the gun there on my hip. Concealment is excellent with an untucked shirt or a light jacket and a tucked shirt.

I carry a G30 in a Bianchi model 6 at 4:00.It's an IWB holster but I wear it OWB between my waistband and belt. It's a lot more comfortable like that and with a sturdy belt, very secure. To cover it I just wear regular button-down shirts, untucked.

The only problem I have concealing a gun is it's thickness, but my holster's made with thin suede so it doesn't add much to the bulk I'm trying to hide.

Switching to .45 ACP is a good choice;bigger bullets and more of 'em.

Because………….

A. KS CCW hasn’t kicked in yet
B. Even when it does in JAN, I still work on FT. Leavenworth. The Army retirement isn't enough to keep me in bullets, primers, and powder:D
