Reloading plan for Kahr K9:

124 gn FMJ RN Berry's [got 3000] with 4 gn 700x powder [have 4 #] Speer book 3.9-4.3 gn with 700x powder and 124 gn RN on Dillon XL650.
Question is what is COAL to avoid overpressure? Research seems to indicate shorter COAL 1.08 - 1.21 or most reloaders vs Speer book COAL of 1.135
Anybody else using 700X in this caliber/load?

I have used 700X for light loads in 9MM before and it worked well. I like it better than some fast powders for light loads in 9MM because it burns well at low pressures and is bulky.

4.0 Grs with a 124 Gr Berrys RN is a good place to start. I would try 1.130 to 1.135 OAL. If it is the hollow base Berrys 124, I would try 4.1 or maybe even 4.2 to start at this OAL.

Welcome to THR.

Kahr K9 loads good. Revised M9 loads

Loaded 9mm 124 gn RN TCJ with 4.0 gn 700X to COAL 1.130-1.138
Range 01/05/13. Flawless performance in Kahr K9. Keeper load. However 1/5 stovepiped on Beretta M9. Sometimes appear as not enough energy to move slide back to eject round. No issue with Blazer 115 gn RN factory ammo. Thinking might need 4.1-4.2 gn 700 X powder with 124 gn RN TCJ for M9 loads. Suggestions welcome.
