= $95 = Viridian Serac 6-24x50 (30mm tube) - Natchez Tax Refund Sale

those things are usually stupendously accurate......and absolutely brutal on optics.....
I had a 54 for a while that I really liked, but after killing its 3rd scope I sold it and moved into pcp.
It aways seemed to hit was was aimed at but never really gave the gun and testing on what it can do, his is a rws marked gun. They don't look like much of a gun but that 22 has pretty good power or it's age think it's marked west germany so pre 1991.

well your gun is the better one for both accuracy and abuse lol....Ill send you one of mine when they come in if you don't already have one. I think Del might kapu the other two If I don't find guns for them quick.

I'd definitely would like trying one out, I really don't know much about the company guess I should research some.

Nice.

Air rifle with negative slam should be a good test of Serac's construction and durability. I see parallax adjustment at 100 yards ... Are you shooting at that distance?

Were you able to test turret tracking with a box test?

Yes, that one tracks perfectly and is a PCP, no recoil. Yes, I was playing at 100 yesterday. Its pretty impressive for a pellet gun, the only thing it has in common with my 392 is the name is spelled the same.

Welp, I got mine mounted today! I dropped it off this morning and the local gunsmith got it mounted and bore-sighted before close of business. It still looks like a whole lotta scope to me, but I'm not what you'd call "vastly experienced" in optics.

I contacted Natchez late yesterday about the scope. Got a call this morning and they sent me FEDEX label today to send it back in for a replacement. That's great service.

I really like the way the Viridian looks and the Serac seems to be their best scope. I should have the new one in about a week and will report when I get it back.

Set one up 100 yards ... 24x
So 1moa(ish) per indicator at 24x....the numbers would be x2.....yesh?
FWIW, from original Serac thread (Note that email refers to old LRR reticle and not new VFD-2 reticle) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...g-range-reticle-for-150.900740/#post-12204778

Yeah, sometimes I do goofy stuff to just aim and shoot and you might use the change to your advantage, as far as a "no turret dial" aim point, just a magnification change and reference point, even with pellet guns.

Like that one above, just dial it back to 9x and use the bottom post for elevation, with a 25 yard zero.

Looks like this.

If you have never played with https://shepherdscopes.com/products/rifle-scopes/dual-reticle-system/ they are pretty nice if your load matches them. Not great glass but work ok.

FFP and SFP, with independent adjustments, make it pretty unique.

The "circles" are independent and in FFP as well as SFP.

I could look for more photos but I found a video that probably does a better job of showing what they can do.

Before i could afford one i really wanted a Sheperd, never got one and i still havent met anyone with one. I SHOULD probably give the system a try tho or ill always wonder....

I never bought one but "loaned" a friend one of my annealers and he loaned me the one above. I keep it on my "do all" 308, its not the best glass but does what it needs to do very well. Like most things to an old guy, they just cost more than they should.

It is very, very, nice to be able to adjust point of aim, without loosing reference of the original point of aim. I can't believe others don't do it.

Makes zeroing a snap, its even easier than this.

Because you just put one crosshair where you where aiming and the other where the bullet hit and move the first over to the second. No need to be super stable, just line the two up as you can.
