A little more info on that shooting in Vegas

One of the posters on another forum (scubadiving.com) posted the link to this story. He's a recently retired professor from North Dakota State University in Fargo and this guy was/is one of his students.

Quite a bit more info than what I read about it on a few other news sites. Guys like this is what make the USA such a great country. Not that he was expecting anything, but I can't believe that all they gave him is a free meal and a gift basket

For a lot of casinos, a free meal & a gift basket is the standard issue "you didn't ask for one but here is a comp" thing. I'm sure if he asked, they would've done something else.
