Don't shove, that's not nice.
I'm serious. A comment like "you're getting paranoid and turning into a monster" is completely appropriate in the heat of the moment and may be regretted only later with careful explanation of why you did what you did and a genuine apology to go with. Your mindset's right, but the presentation was all wrong.
Voices in your house and the sound of your doorknob rattling might warrant a shove. Kids in the street is not urgent enough. C'mon, you're trying to convert her here.
