Ok silence .. you are the king of Airsoft around here. :D Another question, I looked on Redwolf's site for the KSC G19, all they list is the ABS version, no metal slide. Shall we try again?

So, a glick with a metal slide...

This is the link to the KSC plastic glick.

About halfway down the page is a dropdown menu next to the words power upgrade. It has 2 options: the normal power upgrade for $10, or a metal slide and assorted accruments for $82.

The total cost before shipping, for the pistol, metal slide upgrade kit, 2 mags, and 2 kilos of .2 excel biodegradable bb's is $252.

Don't get your gas from Red Wolf. It has to ship ground, and costs a bloody fortune to do that, as well as taking almost a month. Airsplat sells the HFC brand Green Gas for like $8 a can, and their shipping is pretty cheap.

The KWA is a good gun. However, it is all plastic, and it lacks trademarks. To upgrade it to a metal slide, and all the internals that also need upgraded, you can go with the UN Company. They're out of Hong Kong, and are good people. My only knock against them is that their English isn't as good as Red Wolf.

KWA has two versions I think... one with a metal slide. At least thats I'm I'm seeing from the site.

Thanks for the info. I checked out UNcompany's site. It seems getting a gun with the trademarks is a bit dubious at best. To ship to the US, seems they have to paint the barrel tip orange, not really a problem (and hint that paint thinner takes it right off) and then smear black glue over the trademarks (again, hint that it comes right off). This is necessary to pass customs... maybe. They state they are not responsable if said item is confiscated. In which case I'm out some ching... yes.

What is the skinny with ordering these things from Hong Kong? What is the likelihood of getting a delivery?

I've never had a problem. And I've ordered, well, maybe 12, 14 guns from Hong Kong? Something like that.

The trademark issues are not nearly as bad as they were 5 years ago, when NOTHING was registered or paid for. Now, it's much better, as most of the reputable companies (KSC included) pay for trademark rights in the states.

And to avoid all the problems, have them paint the plastic slide orange, and put the metal slide in another box in your DHL packet. Then, you just swap out the slides when you get it.

BS,
How do you feel about dealing with Airsplat? Glock 19 metal frame Good price at $109.

It's a good deal. Especially since you can get an extra mag for $7 (see this pdf for details.)

The downside, of course, is that KWA is KSC without the trademarks. Functionality should be great. That's an awesome skirmish gun. It'll take a beating and keep on ticking. It just won't have the markings.

First hand experience: KJW lasts for a very short time. When something breaks, expect to buy another one for parts.

I haven't been able to play with my A.E MP5A4 for over a year now. It hasn't seen skirmish soil. A pity, since it's a nice replica.

Everybody here should have at least one GBB and maybe a TM replica long gun for F on F practice. NOTHING, including talk on here, can prepare you the same way (aside from real combat).

The KJW 1911 single stack I had is now reserved for slamming mags (practicing reloads) and dry fires (parts have broken so now the hammer doesn't work anymore :( ). But I wouldn't hesitate to get a nice SIG P226 for practice. Nothing like shooting each other up in a safe way.

You always need to remember that an airsoft gun looks exactly like a real gun and noone can tell the difference until they either drop the mag. or pull the trigger. Here is an example attached.

They were considering banning airsoft guns in public in a nearby town for that very reason.
I figured a more reasonable solution without government intervention is to not pull something that looks like a gun on people (especially LEOs) responding to the "people with guns" call. Maybe they don't believe in common sense or natural selection.

Well, sort of, kinda depends.

The airsoft are required to have a blaze orange muzzle, and on guns we use for force on force, they remain that way.

Then again, just because it has an orange muzzle, doesnt always mean its airsoft. :)
This one isnt.

Regardless, they all shoot something that can injure, and should be checked, rechecked, and the checked again when your going to use the airsoft guns to train or play with.

I know. And I sympathize. Your government is a leading example of how to legislate the banning of things, when the problem is with the people.

I feel truely sorry for my friends in England. Get 'em while you can, I guess.

Well there's two ways around this ugly situation. The first is,by registering with an airsoft site and an associated retailer and the other option is,stating that the gun is used as part of a theatrical or movie show and providing enough proof to the retailers,as a result of this.

Hahahaha,so much for these daft laws.:neener::neener::):)

Great training aid

I have been training with them for several years. You can practice target or plink or tactical drills. You can even have teams-less expensive than paintball. I love it. Oh, yes, you can shoot them in apartments. They are really not loud at all.

indoor fun

i have messed around with airsoft for a while now. i was helping a buddy of mine remodel an apartment for his landlord, and as a break, we would do room clearing drills with airsoft pistols. then i got a greengas powered USP and now he won't play with me anymore. PEACE THROUGH SUPERIOR FIREPOWER!!!!:D
