Double check the latex glove itself.
Some folks develop a latex allergy. When I worked in the Main OR , and took some medical classes some folks, including surgeons, doctors and nurses , developed over time a reaction. Sometimes it was not the latex - but the powder in the gloves itself.
We had patients that in fact were allegic to latex. 24 hours ahead of time we removed ALL latex supplies stored the OR OP Rm , and all supplies used on the PT in surgery HAD to be NON- latex. The OR has a special Heating , Air and Vent system(s). That room was even moreso "specially " vented" to get rid of any and all latex in the air ( airborne).
Non Latex and Powderless Gloves were used by Surgeons , STs and Ns - both on the latex allegic patients, AND the Surgeons STs and Ns. Many ORs have gone to Powderless gloves only. When I left we had gone powderless, word was next up wasgoing latex free...something else was beng tested.
One ST ( scrub tech) developed a problem after being a ST for 14 yrs. Happened all of a sudden. She broke out in whelps around waist ( from panties) and, shoulders, bust ( bras) and ankles ( socks) . Once recovered, and problem Dx and all....she still is a RN, Charge Nurse and Scrub Tech, she has her own boxes of gloves, and found alternate clothing needs for everday wear. Scrubs have ties...it was the personal clothing. Try to find a bra with NO latex...she said that was the hardest thing to overcome .
Also - have you started a new medication, changed a medication, or stopped taking a med?
Where I am going ...the reason I suggest is the same for " I am allergic to Gold Jewelry" - White Gold , especially was the most often upset about.
Here is the Truth . For YEARS Folks have pleaded with the Cosmetic Industries to make known what is in the products. What happens is Lady is getting ready, applying make - up. A Particuar make-up gets left on the ring, ear ring...etc., couple with medications, and individual bddy chemistry - they break out. Most Often it is the nickel used as a alloy ...nickel is use in White Gold.
When a lady would throughly wash hands after applying make-up, and the Jlry was clean when put on - NO reactions.
Take a clean cloth , try various make - up products, base, Rouge, eye liner....and one can see the stuff react with the pc of jlry and the particualr make- up. Folks change as they age , take meds...and Cosmetics change formulas....folks change brands. Even perfumes have an effect.
So it was NOT the Jlry...it WAS the chemical reacting with the Alloy ( nickel copper, zinc...) and that person.
Some stuff used in the OR would react with the various Surgical Gloves used. IIRC BioGels did funny stuff with some Anesthesia ( forget which one) so the CRNA went to using A new Glove , latex free, with no powder.
I hope it does not worsen, and you find the real cause of reaction(s)
