The fact remains, the moslem exists to kill an infidel, the more the merrier and die.

This is simply not true. By the way, the word usually translated as "Infidel" is "Kafr". This word does not, in fact, apply to Christians and Jews, who are called "Ahl-al-Kitab" or "People of the Book"

We went in to Iraq, because a Moslem doesn't believe in promises made to an infidel. It's right there in the Koran.
This too, is utterly false. The Koran specifically commands Muslims to keep their word. To anyone, not just Muslims. The only exemption ot this is that one is allowed to speak falsely only if one fears that he or she will be killed if they do not.

..the student obviously thinks himself superior to the soldier...I wonder what evils the kid is guilty of in his short life...having returned to college recently to study for a degree I see first hand what today's generation is made of...the kid wasn't making a point..he wanted to accuse the solider of immoral acts and judge him in front of the audience...he'll make a fine modern-day Democrat...they love to crucify people for sport....

Funny thing about the allegations that there are no terrorists in Iraq...

I hear reports almost daily on the news of dead Al Queda terrorists cells or terrorist car bombings and whatnot on the news from Iraq. Seems like a lot of terrorists there to me.

What I'd really like to see is all of the bitching anti-Iraq war people stop IMMEDIATELY the use of anything manufactured or shipped or powered by oil and its byproducts. Don't like the war, stop using oil.

Until they recognize that the region is critical for its resources and we have a national security and economic interest -- NO, not just an interest, a LIFELIFE -- in those oil reserves they will not understand our commitment to making that region stable and free.

Put up or shut up!

too bad we no longer have the luxury of past times...the luxury of isolation...since the invention of the airplane and what has come since, the nations of the earth are close in proximity...and the power that one can wield could have devastating results to anyone...and since conquest still is much alive in people with grand schemes to dominate others and gain power, it doesn't look so good for the earth's future..but then these are the last days of the world...as soon as God determines that evil has had it's day..he will take the better portion of humanity to himself and destroy everyone else..and start anew...for a better age.

By "stable and free" you mean OURS, right? :banghead:

Don't like the war, stop using oil.

Well, at least you seem to have some idea of what is actually going on here... :fire:

.let's ask Zeke for his recommendations on how to solve the present troubles...????

Now that I think about it..why should I care what a high school student, who I never met, thinks about the issue anyway.....I never heard of him.

I think this thread just ran out of steam...not enough antagonism to keep it going...for now..

Remember fellow Republicans..lets clean out our party..now..of the riff-raff that dirties it..lest we become like the other party...

I hear reports almost daily on the news
Good for you. We all know what an accurate and reliable not to mention unbiased source of information that is.

Its close, but that has to be the 2nd most retarded thing I have seen in this thread. Its not going to happen because our society is so dependant on oil... only because the elite leadership of this country didnt push for alternative sources... maybe because they have an interest in seeing the oil companies getting rich... maybe a connection there huh? So all in all we are not really fighting for oil... we are fighting for money... to make the rich richer and to make us lowly peons dependant on their systems???

our commitment to making that region stable and free.

Oh now thats classic. Yeah thats right... got to stay the course....

Stable and Free? You mean quiet and compliant.

or, maybe we should have just bought their oil and stayed out of their F#@&!^* politics things would have been fine?

Well, that make me feel a WHOLE LOT better about things then. At least my Christian/Jewish family/friends will not be put to death by raving religious fanatics, even if I am to meet such a fate.

Now where did I put that mirror?

1993 WTC I
1998 African Embassy Bombings
1999 Millenium Bomber (foiled)
2000 USS Cole (Not US soil, but certainly the US was the target)

Okay, if you pay attention I said on AMERICAN SOIL... because I was talking about what BS the whole fight them there or fight them here crap is.
A country's embassy is its soil. Click the link and navigate down to the paragraph titled, "Extraterritoriality," to lift a small portion of the veil of ignorance that dims your shining intellect.

The student is a coward.

He is a coward because he does what the jihadis do: rely on our (and the soldier's) tolerance, forbearance, and basic decency to avoid the consequences of their actions. The student knows he can get away with his disrespect because he is confident that the soldier is, at his core, a decent and disciplined fellow who will not use violence in reply to such disrespect.

Such a student would not dare to use such disrespect when addressing inner-city lowlifes, as they would likely kill and/or castrate him for his behavior.

The student is also a morally crippled product of a failed school system that rewards ignorant and pathetic "dissent" over the marshalling of facts in the service of intellect and thought.

What a maroon.

Actually the student is not a coward. Odds are, depending on the location of his school, he just picked up a load of grief from his peers.

I can accuse you of the same thing, you are using an semi anonymous name on an internet forum to call the kid a coward, but if you did this in the presence of his friends and family, you might end up killed or castrated also. But then again, we do not do this in our country because we are civilized, and the kid asked the question in a civilized manner in civilized company. He did not call the soldier a baby killer or a rapist, but asked a very valid question.

He brings up the point of why we invaded Iraq, when almost all of the 9/11 attackers were from Saudi Arabia. I consider Iraq was unfinished business from the nineties, but not a good reason to waste manpower going after those we should have held responsible.

The kid is right on target with his comment about the war. I applude him for standing up and saying what is rightm, even to a Veteran that does not want to hear it. People have to realize that most Americans, unlike pervious generations, no longer take the Governments or a soliders word as truth. If more people including the Dems had the balls to stand up to the Republicans and the White House, and say what is right then we would be out of Iraq and Afganistan very quickly. Hopefully once the Dems take back Congress they will fight the President on everything, and create a general unworkable government.

Kid is a disrespectful, ignorant, arrogant punk who obviously goes to school with a bunch of worthless liberals that are all talk. And you're a pathetic jerk off just like him for condemning our troops to cowards that hide behind woman, and children while blowing themselves up at the sight of a public gatherings.
Terrorists kill innocent Iraqs not US soldiers. You're just a pathetic weak worthless punk that just runs away. No one should ever listen to you, or that kid.

I'd like to meet that kids family, and tell them everything I think of them if they consider the US army innocent civilian killers. I come from on of the most stand up, and speak out loud areas of America. It would be a dream come true.

And he didn't bring up why we invaded iraq. He simply made a hippie style insulting remark out of his pathetic emotions.

Actually, he asked why we were killing innocent militants. Why were they innocent? or does the US have a carte blanche to attack the military assets of any country? What act of war had iraq committed against the U.S, including gulf war 1? No innocent civilians have been killed in this war? Kids question could have been framed better, but was right on.

If my kid had asked this question I wouldnt have faulted him, I am already trying to get him to question authority. I also am from one of the very pro american parts of the U.S. If some sheeple decided to confront me or mine about a question like this on my own turf, it would be a also be a dream come true.

Based on your limited attack on this kid, if you confronted his family, they would hand you your rear end on a silver plate in an arguement because you would not be able to justify the war either is realistic terms other than the president said to go to war.

Hints and handy helpers, Ive got 2 SW Asia medals and a kuwaiti lib and I wonder what the heck we were doing there.

WiLLtallica, you said...

I see that you are very new here so please don't take offense to what I have to say. First off, welcome. Second, this is The High Road. Your more than welcome to disagree with anyone here. That is what is great about this site. But please reply with tact and maturity as name calling can get threads closed and also creates a hostile atmosphere. Since I am not a moderator what I say carries no weight and I apologize if I am overstepping my bounds. Once again, welcome.

"Hopefully once the Dems take back Congress they will fight the President on everything, and create a general unworkable government."

That's what many folks are afraid of...that once the Dems take back Congress they will "create a general unworkable government."

You didn't really mean to say that did you?

John
