Don't wear blinders
A word of caution to all THR folks reading this thread.
Read it and heed it.
Pay attention to what is going on in your neighbourhood . . . and in your own house maybe.
Keep an eye open for increased traffic and activity in and around your neighborhood.
It happened right under my nose . . . I sensed it . . my gut instinct told me something was going down . . I warned my significant other about what I suspected her juvenile deliquent teenager was getting involved in . . . but at times I thought I was being a devil's advocate and only seeing the worst in this kid.
Due to legal ramifications (which to date has cost me personally $3,000 in legal fees + confiscated fire arm and ammo!!) I am not at liberty to disclose the details, but in summary, I thought I would try and intervene in a subtle way - and I got implicated (OK FLAME ON from whoever). I have a court hearing scheduled for tomorrow and once the air is cleared, I will come post the details.
We had a no-knock SWAT-like raid and the kid will be off to a 'rehab program' in the very near future - unfortunately not soon enough for my liking!!.
So, keep an eye on the neigbourhood activity and if it looks suspicious and smells suspicious and your gut instinct tells you it is suspicious, then it IS!!
Take action, call the cops. Rather be safe than sorry.
Sorry for this hijack, but it is somewhat related.
If all goes as I hope and expect tomorrow, I will be back and post the details of how I ended up in this dilemma.
