Not sure if this has been asked before, but...
I see a lot of LEO-only restricted stuff for sale on the auction sites for less than what a new model without the no-no's on it goes for. I guess it's the smaller, limited market that keeps the prices low. Anyway, assuming the ban sunsets, won't LEO-only designations be moot, at least for post ban rifles and mags? Even if they're marked as such, you should still be able to purchase them, right?
Now, the crux of my query is this: as a non-LEO, could I purchase an LEO-only rifle, mag, etc., pay for it, and let it come to my ffl, where it can sit until the AWB sets and I make the transaction with my dealer?
If so, I think some of the pre-sunset LEO-only prices are way cheaper than what some of the jacked up post ban prices will be.
