Hey guys I gotta ask any 6.5 creedmoor fans on THR! I love mine I have a savage Model 10 and it is the most accurate gun I have ever owned so does anyone else own a Creed?
I have had three Creedmoors this last year and shot them a lot. Had a Ruger American Predator that was laser accurate, a Weatherby Vanguard that shot fair and Bergara B-14 that has had me pulling my hair out. I finally found a load that it likes, but the cheap Ruger shot the best of the three. That said, I have had in the past a 260 and 6.5X55. There is not a dime's bit of difference in the performance of the three. I could be satisfied with any of them. I will stick my neck out and say that they are about as close to a perfect whitetail caliber as you will find.I've been shooting a 6.5x55 in a modern action for a number of years so for me the 6.5 Creedmoor doesn't have any appeal.
It is more user friendly with very heavy for caliber bullets and with more powder capacity I can push bullets faster than with a 6.5 Creedmoor should I choose to. A drawback for some people with the Swede is it takes a long action but I've never cared about LA vs SA.

It will shoot MOA and the last trip to the range I had it down to .66 and .73 with 2 loads. The Predator was 1/2 MOA with 4 different loads and bullets when I did my part. I am loading some ELD-X to test next. All of the bullets that I tested were hunting bullets.Very true, max velocity in my Montana is pretty much the same as what I could coax out of my 6.5x55 700 Classic. All the guys I know shooting .260's are running more or less identical velocities as well.
Out if curiosity, what's wrong with your Bergara? Just not grouping well?
