I was just looking throught the state of California's lovely "all these guns are banned" .pdf, and I noticed they have they FAMAS listed as a banned rifle. I understand that everything that looks like it would be a fun rifle to own in California is banned, but why did they go so far as to list the FAMAS, which, to my knowledge, has never existed in the US in a widely ownable semi-ato format?

I'm sure there are one of those cruel rich people who has a pile of AUG's and G36's as dealer samples who has a FAMAS to torture us with, but is there a semi-auto version for us civilians in the great unwashed to own?

If so, lead me there so I can spend my rent money on one.

I saw one advertised at a large auction about a year ago. Starting price was only $800, but I'm sure it went for much more than that.

Wow

I really someone would make a civilian semi auto version for a decent price?

I know bullpups are seemingly hated in this country by those who write laws, but it wouldn't have to be anything that would go into anything class II or III, but would just be COOL.

I think that Century Arms brought in about 100 way back when...

I know that I passed on the $1000 price (back when $1000 was $15000) back then, and I still kick myself for not buying it.
