Any Glock Lovers?! (G27)

I like Glocks a lot in 9mm. :D My experience with .40 and .45 models was not as satisfactory. I dislike the "snappy" recoil of the .40 cartridge in a two-finger-grip gun, and the .45 models have design oddities.

I don't like .40 cal guns of any type......For me it's either 9mm or .45ACP

I just love the way both of them feel.

That being said both my wife and I love Glocks among several other guns!

Waiting on delivery of a new-to-me G22.

I'm a CZ/BHP fan, so we'll just have to see how much I enjoy shooting Glock.

Being a DA/SA fan, (I own a FNP-9, and older S&W 5906, and a P89), glocks never really appealed to me, but, I have shot a few..a Compact(17 maybe?) and a .40, although a few years ago...both were nice guns, but never had the feel I like. I like an auto that "feels" revolver like, and mine fit the bill...although I've shot my girlfriends Ruger SR9-c and it is a SWEET shooter..even if it is a striker fired gun without re-strike capability. It's all in with what makes us comfortable, and what welike...if you are confident, enjoy the feel, trust it, and it works for you..then by all means, get one, they are superb guns...but do yourself a favor and go shoot some different guns, or go hang out at the range and talk to some of the folks, I never buy the new trend, or what someone says is great, 'cuz I know what works for me...I have to "love" it before laying out my cash..and Glocks never seemed worth it to me..I probably made some enemies with that statement, but it's a Ford/Chevy thing ,IMHO, and never would criticize what someone shoots..especially if they can shoot well...I don't know who said it, but it rings true.."Beware the man who owns only one gun, for you can be sure he knows how to use it.."

GLOCKS are fine guns.

Aesthetically, no Glock is going to win any contest. They are very reliable and lasting guns, though. IMHO that is what matters.

I have Glocks in all 3 of the most popular calibers. The G21SF is my fave (although I do love the small size of the 9mm/40 Glocks). If there are any design oddities (aren't they basically the same?), I must be odd. :) I'm the most accurate with it. It has the best grip shape/angle to me, and it has proven to be the most reliable. The other two have had limpwrist jams in the hands of my female shooting buddy; the G21 has never hiccuped, once, despite the fact she can't even get a proper shooting grip on it.

I had a g19 that went over five thousand rounds without a single hiccup. I sold it when I needed money, but I wish I had it back. It has since been replaced by a g26 and a g30. My g30 has been solid in the four hundred rounds I have put through it. The g26 had the slide lock back premturely before chambering the last round in the mag. This has only happened once in 500 rounds, so I am not freaked out about it.

The g26 disappears in an mtac. In fact I need one for the g30. I carry the 26 or an sp101 iwb seven days a week. I am a fan, enough of a fan that I want a new gen4 g19 to relace my old gen3.

I now have a 17 and and a 27. the 17 is my wifes fun gun and also a night table gun and my 27 and i are still working it out. I did add a +2 mag extention for added range control and try to get use to the wieght as a carry gun around home. Only have a couple hundred through it so far. No problems with either . Even the trigger is growing on me. Long but easy first pull and a very short reset . I am just use to a ultra light for carry. and a 29oz loaded pistol really ain't lite. I have alway had atleast one 40cal so recoil is not a problem but is snappy.

yeah, I shoot two glocks (G22 and G27) and as much as I try to discount their credibility, I CANT!!! They generally go bang, have alot of firepower and are surprisingly accurate with good ammo and alot of practice. By the way, any part you will ever need will be available online for cheap due to the current mass productions.

I'm a pretty big Glock fan, but I greatly dislike the .40 models, especially the G27. I used to own one, got rid of it fairly quickly after a few range trips

The nice thing about Glock for me I've found the shorter compact models are actually the most accurate of the family. I know of no stock Glock more accurate than the 45acp G30. I also like the G26 for pocket carry and cheaper ammo. Both are my primary carry along with HK P7. The 27 is a bit stout in recoil and the .40 has never been known to be particularily accurate, but I suppose accurate enough for the average shooter.

I have a G27! Love it and carry it. I shot 100 rounds of my carry ammo (Speer mostly) last week and man that thing is a little hand cannon! I can shoot it almost as well as the larger Glocks.

A Glock 27 in .40 is surprisingly accurate:
Glock 27 230 Yards

Back to liking them

I currently enjoy a G17, G22, G27, and a G36 and routinely carry either the G27 or G36. All have proven to be very reliable with a wide range of ammo and accurate enough for defensive work and IDPA competition. I love the aftermarket parts availability and modest cost. The stock sights are not good but otherwise a very serviceable pistol!

I fought the Glock thing a few years, but since have acquired a 30,27,33,and a 19.I can't find anything wrong with them.Everybody needs a 19.

To me Glocks feel like the spawn of a gun and a 2x4. The two I used to have weren't reliable, even after the G21 spent several months at the factory.

For the same price as a Glock, I got a used Sig 220, and for the price of my G19 I got a CZ-75 which I also like much better.
