I recently made my first "over the phone" firearm purchase...and I have to say that it felt darn good. I went through CDNN investments...

My question is: are there other catalog-type companies that sell firearms similar to CDNN?

I like the fact that the CDNN catalog is dowloadable in pdf format...but if I have to order a catalog for a different company, that is ok too...I like catalogs. :D

Thanks in advance.

I assume you have a C&R FFL. If so then there are plenty of places that will sell to you. I have a C&R FFL and I have bought from SOG Guns, FAC Guns and Aim Surplus. I just bought a SKS from Aim Today so I don't know how there guns are but the service seemed great.

Some others:
J&G sales
Interordinance
Centerfire Systems
Dealer Warehouse
J.L.D. Enterprises
K.Y. Imports
Wholesale Guns & ammo
Allen's Armory
Century International
Empire Arms
JoeKen Firearms
Sarco INC.
Etc.

I do not have an C&R FFL...or any other type of FFL for that matter...Just a miscellaneous services business license...

I made my CDNN purchase by having it sent to a local FFL dealer.

How do you know what firearms are classified as C&R's?

From the BATF site:

Type 03 - COLLECTOR OF CURIOS AND RELICS.
(pertains exclusively to firearms classified as curios and relics, and it's purpose is to facilitate a personal collection. It is NOT a license to buy and sell curios and relics.

I assume you cannot use a C&R to buy just any gun even if it is only for your personal collection. No Kimbers for instance.

Thanks arinvolvo. That's quite a list of cool firearms. What a "tough" job it would be to maintain this list. Hopefully you'd be required to handle\examine and possibly fire any or all of these to verify that they qualify for the list. :D
