17/17L, 17/22 etc. Anyone know where you can find data on the ones that can be switched and what parts are necessary?

Just don't try putting the barrels from the full sized models into the compact and sub-compact models unless you change out the locking block first. The angles are different and a full size barrel on a compact locking block will lock the gun up very tightly.

The Glocks are decent guns however I believe that a few other plastic guns have surpassed them, namely the S&W MP, the Walther P99, and the Steyr M series. IMO though the Glock still stands head and shoulders above the USP, XD, and all the other plastic pistols out there.

Glock 17, 23, 20. I have fallen in love with glocks. I have sold all of my 1911 style DA/SA handguns. Everyone has their own tastes, but mine are the glocks. Simple mechanism, interchangeable mags, parts and easy to get parts. They are reliable out of the box, will shoot almost any ammo, are accurate enough for a combat pistol (certainly more accurate for me), the weight, mag capacity, and manageable recoil are icing on the cake. I believe the G-17 is one of the best combat 9mm pistols in the world. It certainly ranks in the top 3. I still love my GP-100, but just for shooting at the range and plinking. The glocks have taken over the CCW and nightstand. I have a .357sig, .40, and 6" barrel for the G-20. Awesome package!:D
