Just curious. My carry weapon is a Glock-21 with an inside-the-pant holster. It took some getting used to compared to the Taurus PT-145 (traded in) but it's comfortable to wear now. It dosn't even print on me.

How about it?

I have often carried a goverment model (many years) but my perception of threat in my area and my lifestyle has me just carrying a MK9 now. I still love my goverment models and shoot them often. I guess it wouldn't be any more of an inconvienance to contiue to carry them, I guess I am not so sure why I switched.

Yes. Biggest so far is Glock 34. Browning HPs and 1911s also get carried.

I carry my S&W 625 45 colt in a uncle mikes nylon IWB,it took awhile to adjust to it but it"s 2nd nature now.

DESIGNER KNOCK-OFF

Carry list:

EAA Witness (3) = 9x19, 9x21, 38 Super, 40 S&W, 41AE, 45 ACP
KGP-141 (2)
Redhawk 5.5" (3) = 41 Mag, 44 Mag, 45 LC
Redhawk 7.5" = 357 Mag
S&W M38 (when the wife lets me)
Caspian 1911 = 45 ACP
"always" (2) = 22LR

And a new Caspian 38 Super comp'ed hi-cap.....................soon. Mags need tuning, and while I'll wear it 'bald' it really needs some (iron) sights.

Just me.

I won't have any bones about carrying my 3" 629 after I get a good holster for it...

I am also considering full-size 1911 carry.

Did I mention that I am a mere 5'9" and 155lbs...

I guess ''full size'' means non ''mouse gun''??:)

Well ... during well clothed months I favor my P95 9mm (in sho rig) .... although I do carry a FEG (HP clone) instead, at times, as that is slimmer. However, I have never been that keen on carrying ''cocked and locked'' ... and so favor the D/A more.

In summer ... whole new ball game!! Then it becomes my M85 Taurus 38spl snubby .. on the hip.

I have yet to get a 1911 and would favor I think a Kahr for size reduction in that cal, or maybe one of the other ''compacts''.

One thing about polymers . does save some weight!!

Lots do, but I don't.

A big gun demands too much of my attention -- not because of being uncomfortable or anything, but just because I'm "too aware" of it. In meetings, etc., it's just too distracting. I like my carry guns to be ones I can ignore completely.

I use a P-11 as my Primary concealed pistol. But when I'm taking the Hi-Power (clone) to the range, I've been known to carry it concealed.

Carried the Hi-Power for a while before the P-11 came along. The right wardrobe makes it easy, even in summer. See my thread on CCW tricks.

The main reason I switched to the P-11 was comfort. It is just a tad more comfortable after many hours than the Hi-Power. I think if I were to spring for a first-class holster for the HP, it may be just as comfortable.

I carried a Ruger P-94 before I sold it to buy my Springfield XD40, which I also plan on CCW'ing. I sometimes carry a Taurus PT-140, which I shoot about as well as the XD, but full-size pistols are more comforting for me for some reason--not to mention being more comfortable to shoot.

Heheheh...

I once sat through an hour meeting with a decidedly anti-gun local politician who represents my county district. I think at the time I was wearing my 2.5" Model 19 in a shoulder holster.

The entire time I was thinking "He'd probably crap if he knew I had a gun on me right now..."

He'd probably drop an even bigger brick if he knew his one of his chief assistants carried a Detective Special...

Gives ya a sorta warm... cozy feeling!!!:) Bit like when I last chatted with the Bank manager!!:p

I occassionally carry my USP9 full size in an Uncle Mike's size 15 IWB holster. Would carry more often should I find a better rig...

Most of the time, I carry it in a convertible fanny/shoulder bag. Much less conspicuous. :D

Yup. I tote a full-sized 1911 regularly, and I've added the SIG P226 to my carry rotation again recently. Both guns ride in Galco Summer Comfort IWB holsters without concealment or comfort problems. A good holster and belt combo is the key.

I have carried my Ruger KGP-141 without any problems. As soon as I get my Don Hume IWB holster for my Ruger P90, thats what I will be carrying.

My full sized USP .45 is usually riding my hip when I'm out in public. As others have mentioned, a good belt and holster go a LONG way towards making it comfortable.

For the times I don't feel like getting dressed up for a quick trip to the store (wearing sweats or something else w/o belt loops) my KelTec P-11 works great for that.
