Anyone know if the Davidson's Exclusive 5" GP-100 is full or short shroud???

I was hoping it was that 'special' model they (Davidson's) had made for them a few years back - 5" partially shrouded GP100 in the grey SS of the SRH .454/.480. That was a GP100 I could live with, especially if it's as nice as the examples of GP100s I saw at the stores this summer - their QC was markedly better. Several years ago, the local examples all had obvious tool marks... gone now! Davidson's site has no picture of item '1740', the 5" GP100 they have listed now.

I believe the target grey GP model with the 5" bbl from a few yrs ago was a Lipsey's model. Had a green case rather than the usual grey ones. It too was a full shroud model.

Memory fades as we age... I think... I wanted that earlier Davidson's grey 5" GP100 to be a short shroud. I always said that if S&W ever made a 5" half lug 686 (+), I'd buy it. Had to do that four plus years ago... super revolver - poor me!

Ah, what were we talking about originally?

Can't you have the full shroud models milled and machined down into a short shroud model? If its something you really want or have to have its worth the extra time & effort to get it done.

How do we know it is a full shroud? I looked on the web site and it makes no mention of it. I am acutally considering it if it is a full shroud - perfect compromise in barrel length.
