Limited Ruger GSR configuration -I never have money at the right time

I'm assuming these are a special, limited run

It's a stainless version of the Ruger Scout with an 18" barrel, which I would prefer to the 16.5" length.

Maybe I'll be able to pick one up off gunbroker for an inflated price some day.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't think to check the website and just assumed it was some kind of Davidson's exclusive.

They originally offered that version for export only if I understand correctly, to meet legal requirements in some other countries. A bunch of folks contacted Ruger asking it to be sold here. I've seen a couple. I kinda like the rifle, just not enough to buy one. But if I did it would be the longer SS version.

I've been going back and forth on whether or not I want a GSR. The existence of the longer barrel stainless version has pushed me a little further into the yes column.

I like my GSR just the way it is. The longer barrel has no appeal to me at all, nor does the stainless. Good example of different strokes, I guess.

What would push me into the "buy" line would be their offering it in .260 Rem...I think I'm pretty safe
