I think I've seen more AR's hitting the shelves at local and online stores. 7.62X39 is still hard to get except a few places online. A lot of AK's are failing to sell at some fairly ridiculous prices, although Arsenal Saiga conversions are still selling high. A GSG-5 isn't worth $700 no matter how much tactical crapola is on it.
At this point, politically, 'moderate' Democrats aren't behind some of the radical leftist agendas like crap(sic) and trade, health care "reform", etc. So a direct gun ban is very unlikely. Importation bans remain a threat and they can eek up prices for stuff by scrapping ammo casings like they did last week and so on. Also don't be surprised to see an idiotic attempt to slap pollution or carbon tax on bullets.
Have all the people who want to hoard hoarded?
I'm going to wait a few months to see what happens before buying the long rifle I wanted. If worse comes to worse, I'd pick up an unconverted Saiga with the caliber determined by ammo availability, importation bans, etc.
