AR trigger suggestions

There are Gieselle's for only incrementally more than the RRA NM triggers, and they ARE legitimately better than the RRA. The G2S is $130 on sale at Brownells right now. I'm using a G2S-E in a customer rifle build on which I'm currently working, which are on sale now for $150, and it's a notably better trigger than the RRA NM or NM-V.

The hi speed NM 2 stage is a pretty penny, and worth every bit, but it's understandable not everyone wants to put a $250-280 trigger into their carbine. But there are cheaper options of insanely good quality in Gieselle's line up.

My favorite 2 stage trigger of the past, cheaper than the Gieselle NM 2 stage, was the Bushmaster NM 2 stage, but these are rather high priced when they can be found, and frankly, just can't be found most of the time.

One important thing to consider - not all 2 stages are designed with the same spread between the stages. The Gieselle and Bushmaster triggers are a heavy take up with a light break, a good surprise break trigger, whereas the RRA design (inferior in my opinion for precision shooting) is light in the first stage with a heavy wall. The RRA design is nice for a guy who likes a heavier trigger and wants to feel his finger on trigger before the break, basically a guy who wants a single stage trigger with a little more sensation. But if you want a surprise break, the RRA design falls behind the others. Still a good trigger, and I'm happy to use 3 of them in personal rifles, but it sure isn't on par with a Gieselle G2S, let alone a Gieselle Hi speed NM
I have a Larue ($99 on sale I can wait price), and a Gieselle G2S (On sale). The G2S is superior IMHO.

I also have an ALG trigger and for the money they are very good.

At $109 the G2S is going to be hard to beat.

I waited and waited for that to come in stock, finally they referred me to a sister site where it was only slightly higher, 119.00. Then they charged e 10 bucks tax, even though I dont live in the same state and another 10 (well, 9 and change) for shipping. I called and canceled, but got it anyway. Couldnt resist installing. I'm ordering another now! It's that good!

These guys charged me sales tax too. Oh well, its 10.00 less than the site they referred me to. By the time you get done,
it will be $129.96 It is a fantastic trigger for the money. 95% of the SSA, which they want $240 for. For much less, the ALG are nice too, About same as stock lbs pull wise, but it has no grit and breaks better than stock....
but this is way better.

I have a Del-Ton two stage trigger in my AR build. I may never shoot with a stock trigger ever again after shooting just a few mags with that.

I like modifying stock triggers because I am cheap and would rather spend my $100+ on reloading supplies. You can get a pretty good 3lb trigger with moderate effort. But it probably won't be as good as the larue.
If you want to send me your takeoff stock fire control group I'd be happy to pay shipping. (But I'd keep it In case you sell the rifle and keep the trigger myself.)

Sounds like you got a lot of direction... but to address your original question about a Hiperfire. I've got one and it's a truly great single stage trigger. Very nice indeed and adjustable via swapping springs - it's very easy to do and the triggers come with 3 different sets of springs (mine did at least).

Deals like this make the Geissele SSA-E easier to justify. $250 but it comes with 10 Pmags. I got the exact same deal a few months ago and am very happy with it.

I have the Del-ton trigger as well, and like it a lot. It's an excellent value. Compared to the SSA-E, there is a slight amount of creep before it breaks, and the reset is slower. I've shot fast enough at matches to outrun the reset on close shots. Still a good trigger though. But between the two, I'd get the Geissele SSA-E with the pmags.

I not only have the one Hiperfire I mentioned, but a whole passel of the SSA-E triggers mentioned above. All of them have been outstanding. They aren't as easy to install as a modular drop in trigger, but it's still not difficult. I've also found them on sale for as little as $168 but you gotta be patient and fast on the keyboard!

Another truly great drop-in is the Elftmann Tactical. They're really nice and really eay ro install.

Care to reveal your source for this bargain ? I would like to monitor a sale like that!
