There are Gieselle's for only incrementally more than the RRA NM triggers, and they ARE legitimately better than the RRA. The G2S is $130 on sale at Brownells right now. I'm using a G2S-E in a customer rifle build on which I'm currently working, which are on sale now for $150, and it's a notably better trigger than the RRA NM or NM-V.
The hi speed NM 2 stage is a pretty penny, and worth every bit, but it's understandable not everyone wants to put a $250-280 trigger into their carbine. But there are cheaper options of insanely good quality in Gieselle's line up.
My favorite 2 stage trigger of the past, cheaper than the Gieselle NM 2 stage, was the Bushmaster NM 2 stage, but these are rather high priced when they can be found, and frankly, just can't be found most of the time.
One important thing to consider - not all 2 stages are designed with the same spread between the stages. The Gieselle and Bushmaster triggers are a heavy take up with a light break, a good surprise break trigger, whereas the RRA design (inferior in my opinion for precision shooting) is light in the first stage with a heavy wall. The RRA design is nice for a guy who likes a heavier trigger and wants to feel his finger on trigger before the break, basically a guy who wants a single stage trigger with a little more sensation. But if you want a surprise break, the RRA design falls behind the others. Still a good trigger, and I'm happy to use 3 of them in personal rifles, but it sure isn't on par with a Gieselle G2S, let alone a Gieselle Hi speed NM
I waited and waited for that to come in stock, finally they referred me to a sister site where it was only slightly higher, 119.00. Then they charged e 10 bucks tax, even though I dont live in the same state and another 10 (well, 9 and change) for shipping. I called and canceled, but got it anyway. Couldnt resist installing. I'm ordering another now! It's that good!I have a Larue ($99 on sale I can wait price), and a Gieselle G2S (On sale). The G2S is superior IMHO.
I also have an ALG trigger and for the money they are very good.
At $109 the G2S is going to be hard to beat.
