Check out the powder drop by Mark 7.
It is basically an Hornady/RCBS powder measure that has been optimized for progressive loading. Had one on a friend's Dillon 750 when it was on my bench and it was pretty impressive (I thought parts of it were a bit OCD) but changing charges was a bit of a pain...the price you pay for consistency
My friend served his country and lost a lot of his physical ability in that service. His family was well blessed prior to that, but I don't begrudge anything he wants to do with his money, I could think of much worse things.
The Mechanical Mark 7 power measure has some real improvements over both the Hornady and the RCBS for use with a progressive press.I was talking about the cheaper one. Heck I didn't even know about the esoteric one. I thought the RCBS Uniflow 3 was high at $120.
You guys have $$$$
that’s good! I’m going to use thatCommon saying amongst racers.
Want to know how to make a small fortune in auto racing? Start with a large one.
Shooting and reloading is one of the cheapest activity’s I have fun doing. Eat at fancy restaurant, go on vacation, “invest” in things that go down in value like cars, boats, motorcycles and RV’s and you bleed money. Most all of my guns and reloading equipment are worth more now than when I first bought them.
It wasn’t long ago when enough components for a weekend of fun cost less, per person, than going out to the movies. I just hope things settle down over the next 6 years, that’s about as long as I can hold out on the nutty prices we’ve had lately. Unless I slow down my consumption of the components I have.
Best part of reloading is you don’t need tons of $$$$ if your resortfull or just want to make ammo with a Lee Loader
